unless im wrong, i think you are asking why people are aggroing a bit too much i think a major reason for this is because its quite fun to be aggro and get comboes while yes winning is fun, playing defensively is significantly (at least for me) less fun than just going brrrrrrr

Small question: In this video you adopt a relatively defensive playstyle while taking important opportunities. If you played like this during a tier test, would you still be seen as a good player?

Yes but as I stated in the video the movement I'm using only works against lt3 and lower, if you try the strategy of movement against anyone who's ht3 it's not going to work because of their mechanics and reaction time though you can adopt this strategy in some scenarios like if you can pearl far enough away stuff like that but I'd recommend learning to anchor and use slow fall for tier tests also don't let anyone judge you for the strategies you use, if they work they work don't let anyone call you a bad player if you're winning among the higher tiers, you're better

@@Gowthrr yeah, sometimes slow fall is looked down upon in practice and whenever i use it they just rtp away. Slowfall playstyle is different from normal so its hard to practice with the preassumption that it is for new players. This is why I dont use sf during ttests since the tester might view me as bad, so im not sure

Anchor spamming wasnt the problem I was trying to counter through this video. Tbh, if your dying to anchor spamming, its prob your fault since your playing too aggro and playing just a bit more defensively would counter it. The thing i needed was just a sense of how a good player thinks in a hole fight. Your consideration of fire ticks and not making useless moves while adjusting to better positioning taught me a lot, so tyty

@@scratchfromscratch408 If you watch fights among tier 2's and sometimes among high tier 3's they practice a playstyle called drain which is predominantly slow-fall. I've witnessed it for myself, I watched Clover(owocuddlemittens) test for tier 2 and the fight is actually really slow and very slow-fall based. The reason why slow-fall is frowned upon is because it's one of the biggest advantages currently in crystal today. When it comes to ht3 and t2 it's more about who can adopt the most annoying to play against playstyle(minus Turtle master since if turtle master was in use the fights would be 11 hours each in t2 fights)

not particularly necessary, hole is all about taking low ground and trades, anchors are only really necessary for low-ground retaking and getting out of awkward positioning
