Given pachy’s low speed and frail health, I think this is fair. Pachy can’t really run from most fights so it has to defend itself, but other dinos who don’t want to fight it can simply run away

I mean yes everything that see a pachy can say Nope and run off but if you ingage in the fight and get a leg fracture you are 99% of the time just fucked and if ur playing utah you are 100% fucked lol even body fracture will be enough most of the time

​@@nappnn if you chose to fight a pachy and end up dead thats on you. I suggest teamwork. Pachy would be defensless if it gets nerfed. They are too slow to run and have low health and bleed.

So you would say its fair that something that is extremely easy to grow and can be afk grown to full adult after just 5 min is able to decimate packs of something that takes the same amount of time but is extremely alot harder to get to full, even very easly also solo take on stuff that is alot bigger takes more than double the amount of time to grow and is 10x harder to get to full? I mean sure they should be able to, but it shouldent be as easy as it is rn.. Pachy is supposed to be able and defend itself ofc but it should not be a more of a capable hunter than both carnivores we got in the game combined

@@nappnn your exadurating and you know it. Utah and pachy are close in grow time. They have low health and low damage. Their only strength is bone break. Carno groups can easily kill one if they play right. Pachys can not escape a carno or a utah. Yes it is fair that they can fight and win in a 1v1.

@@nappnn carnivores weigh their options when hunting. Typically picking the young old injured or sick to strike. Your issue is that your trying to 1v1 with a species built to hunt in small family units. You want a fighting game not a realistic survival game.

Sick, could also make your pachy turns alot cleaner if you after the initial hit took a few steps and alt head-butted that way you have a better chance for a 2nd stun animation so you won't get that bite from the carno every time you go in :D

One small detail too. When you go for the legs go for the left leg. It has a higher leg break chance

It's no longer fun to play in update 6 :/, I really miss the fun in update 5.5, a lot of people played, now the meat is very unbalanced and the hitbox is too big

excellent video nappn! i've often tried doing multiple hits per stun, but i normally just get bit and don't fracture anything new 😅i could use some practice haha. any chance we can get a video on what to do as carno in the same matchup/scenario? no pressure, of course. it just seems like there should be a solid strategy to survive being fractured by a good pachy player or two

Thank you :D yes some practise might be needed but when you get it down its very easy, only thing the carno really can do is try to time an altbite to land it right when the pachys charge up has gone down ”if it chase you for so long” otherwise everything it really can do is try ramming the pachy and when it gets legbreak just try to run away and hope pachy has little stam haha

thank you for the guide! But i moved to legacy until update 6.5 will be released, im pretty tired of evrima. When i'll come back i will watch how u try out the troodon if you will and watch this guide if i will want to become a pachy main again :)

I find it strange that they made the Omni so weak and the pachy stronger. I haven't touched the isle since the new update.

since the update ive switched back to playing path of titans! quests suck but sometimes it's fun to have music or videos play while you grind. fighting's fun too, although there's a bit of a tail riding issue like there is with legacy.

The tail riding will be fixed to a degree when the tail knockback mechanic comes out of testing.

What dino do you play? Tail riding shouldn’t be an issue for the vast majority especially with tail attack

even if a dino cannot completely kill another through ass riding it can still be done. all the dino has to do is butt tank a bit of the tail damage for a while before disengaging.

Dryo have trouble dodging a charging Carno as well... So many times that they weren't even that close to you and yet boom! You die... The new dodge being suck to use doesn't help either.

if i see pachy as carno i wont even try unless i can sneak up to, one strike and they are dead. bud mostly i run away, one leg break and its over for the carno. kinda stupid if you ask me

so basically the only thing the carno does do prevent that is well dont stand still like some mob and maybe just use his speed to his advantage

Idk about pachy,for me it feels like U have to ambush the predators because if someting touches you u die

If the carno hits a clean drift bite it is possible....( with luck)

Unless you can get the jump on a pachy in this update, you shouldn't even try hahaha

i couldn’t do anything because i was on a poor diet because the fruits are so hard to find.

where is the raptor lesson, how to rale out carnos with raptor skills , i kind of know how but would be nice to have a video on it, or maybe not 🤔 cause carbo players would learn it too

feel like this whole thing kinda relies on the carno being bad enough to charge in a straight line to the pachy despite the pachy being right there ready to headbutt em... any decent carno will use its new op turn rate to avoid the pachy draining its stam and making it question every charge maybe allowing you to get a free hit cuz it thought u would fake it again, besides you always want to go for a charge to hit the tip of its tail if its a 1v1 not straight on, still does insane damage and it cant headbutt you from there... plus guys, can we please for the love of god stop pretending like carno isnt supposed to be an ambush predator in evrima? if the pachy already knows your there, and has a 0% chance of escaping by running away, it NEEDS to be able to properly defend itself and the carno shouldnt have a huge advantage in killing it in a 1v1 without a surprise ambush since the carno can run away from the pachy, and the pachy has NO way of running away from the carno This isnt legacy anymore people, they are working to remove the HUGE carnivores bias legacy has... herbivores arent free meals anymore, your going to actually have to use your brain and think about if that hunt is worth the risk of you dying, and maybe even consider stalking the herbi for a bit to find a good opening to surprise attack it instead of running towards it in a straight line the second you lay eyes on it, they aren't AI, that is another human being controlling that dino who might be bad and be a free kill, but also might be better than you and know the ins and outs of their dino like the back of their hand

that's what i hate. not the content but actuall hunting that u don't chase herbivore-nonono what did u think u are playing a good game? nah a pachy gonna chase u even if it knows it won't eat meat.

Well that's how it is when you log into a official server with no rules. People will play how they want and there's no stopping it unless the devs make decent buffs/nerfs to the dinos or add something to the game to discourage people to stop playing certain ways. So if people can't tolerate no rules, they should just join a unofficial servers OR possibly join a group cause safety in number, I guess?? In the end, it's a game...I have control on how other people action will affect me so I move on quickly or just go onto a different server. The only thing that really ruins it for me are just hackers xD. So sad people be hacking this game like pfffft its funny sad tho also like what sucks more about it is I have no clue how to report this stuff or like if it even matters since the devs may not be doing anything about it so kinda feel hopeless WHICH I had enough of that feeling with depression so fuck that lol. I am now leaning more to semi-realism unofficial servers to avoid...well you know all that. Tho aye! It is what it is~ I do come back to official servers from time to time tho cause the bad shit that happens there do kinda make things entertaining xD. When the bad shit happens, karma also happens. It's only when it's just too much I migrate back to the unofficial servers lol

The Carno you fought was actually bad at the game, they never used their alt bite

They did tho, and using altbite against pachy is the biggest misstake you can do 90% of the time if the pachy know what its doing
