When i first started betting last year i lost $200 on jorge masvidal then i won it back on a grappling rematch the next day. I started betting all in except leave $100 in case i lost. I bet on the most surest rematches of fights and got all the way to $1400 then i started betting on other sports and lost it all. I came back on another betting site by betting smaller $5 $10 and $20 bets and now im at $700 would have been $900 but i got greedy again and bet straight on the last fight of the night and lost. I always end up doing that when i could risk a smaller amount for more on the underdog

Thank you for this video. What a great guest you had !!! I'm a winning recreational poker player and a losing (recreational) sports bettor. I've met many people in both fields, and I don't have very good things to say about them. However, your guest Dink seems to be very kind, humble, and caring (which is rare). On top, he was very generous with the information he gave. Again, thank you for this great video.

Dink is the real deal and the kind of guy you meet and say "Wow, what a nice guy." About a year ago, I attended an event in Las Vegas where all the top names in the world of sports betting got together to socialize. My wife was with me and, predictably, bored. Dink noticed she was disinterested in the conversations being had and went over and talked to her about non-sports things. He didn't need to seek recognition from his peers, he could stop and take time to make someone else feel more welcome. That's why he's a legend.

No discussion on fading the public and reverse line movements? No discussion on sharp money vs square money? I've bet the NFL for over 15 years and paying attention to those indicators is absolutely essential. Whenever 70% of the public bets are on a side watch out for the zebras in the NFL. The longer you bet on the NFL the more it's obvious that this game is as pure as Madonna and as innocent as an escort.
@CaptainJackAndrews
3 жыл бұрын
I'm not a fan of using published bet %'s and reverse line movement to do handicapping. It's essentially handicapping with incomplete information. You don't know what sample size the action is based on. You don't know what timeframe the RLM considers. There's a lot more information that builds a bigger picture that gets ignored when you focus on RLM and published reports of where the sharps are. However, if it's working for you, I'm not here to rain on your parade - it's just not an approach you'll find me recommending.

The more minutiae you know about individual players, the more likely you are to LOSE. Knowledge of reverse line movement (esp in football and basketball) is far more valuable. A lot less "point shaving" occurs in baseball & hockey when compared with football & basketball. (PRO TIP - Looking ahead & projecting what a line SHOULD be before it comes out is a great habit to acquire, you'll notice patterns more easily going forward))
@louissheppard3029

Point shaving happens in all sports it’s Vegas baby !!!!
@dodsonyaple7100
Жыл бұрын
Re: reverse line movement, it ** might ** tip you off as to who the sharps are playing, but it also might not (fake leads midweek, unanticipated big square plays etc). And the sharps are only gonna hit about 54-55% to begin with. When you add in that, as a rec player not watching the line feed all day, you'll pay a point or so more than the sharps originally got, it becomes a losing angle.
@chiraqhustler47173 жыл бұрын
I know that allot of what these guys are talking about as far as having an edge and positive value is very important but I dont worry about none of that stuff. I tail some great handicappers on every sport and I crush the NFL with special teasers. Of course I dont get shit value on my 4 team super teasers but I win at least 90% of my teasers. I am patient enough to wait another week if I have to leaving an open spot or two and I look for value in taking teams that have been blown out in the previous week usually in prime time so that the line is already inflated and well adding 13 points is almost more than enough. The way I look at it is that they're professionals and dont like to be embarrassed over and over so losing by 21 points on back to back weeks seldom happens. Plus many coaches in the NFL know and or respect the other coach and usually ease up late in the game to not embarrass the other team.

Of course people can do multiple sports at once since is the same numbers (EV, -120, -145, +220, + 155, etc etc etc) just pay attention to what spreads cover and what numbers hit!!! Example given some pro sports the +105 is stronger than others just pay attention to every single result. Paper and pencil have become my best friends. Trends vary by season and by sport. Remember that this is a psychological game, the leas info inside your head the better, keep things simple

Hey Cap Jack, question for you. Dink mentions having 20 outs with some being shops. My question is how do you line shop efficiently with 10-20 outs? It’s too time consuming to log into every account and look at the line for the game in that many books. By the time you find the best line it might move. And also some books prob aren’t on don best or on screen. How do you go about finding the best line out of the 20 books quickly?
@CaptainJackAndrews
3 жыл бұрын
There's probably not 20 different sets of lines in those 20 outs. Many different books share the same back-end lines. Often having multiple outs that are identical in their lines is useful for circumventing limits. In terms of keeping track of line moves. You know which books are good for certain situations. So if you see a line move or you get information about a game, you generally know which of your outs that scenario is probably best at. Those are the ones you check first.

@CaptainJackAndrews

If you don't know what you're doing, how could you know if he knows what he's doing? You don't. Professional gamblers are invisible and quiet. They're the ones on the other side of those games you thought were locks but lost. It takes a lot of work and a lot of money and a lot of nerve to win.

You can but it won't be very good 🤷♂️ You can wait for a winning team to be down at half time and pick them to win/cover at a better line *ingame* but thats the best you can do without a model *and by model i meen nothing that some random idiot created* i meen like oddsshark ect < you could eye test and ingame.....but without an oddsshark type "model" then your ass is just guessing imo

Yes, and you knew when the Chiefs lost 2 in a row, there was no way they would lose the next game. Mahomes is not going to lost 3x. That is when you wait for the right bet and then step up

Holding a sign on the corner of an expressway or intersection seems more profitable than sports betting

Most books killed the Wong teasers. Can’t get 6 pointers moving thru the key numbers at -110 anymore except at maybe Bet Rivers.
The Fun part is cool!!
@CaptainJackAndrews

Hi , want are your thoughts on doubling down on bets tell you win.

Generally referred to as a Martingale strategy, the problem comes when you hit a losing streak where you can no longer double your wager due to house limits. Since you’re dealing with independent events this will inevitably happen.

Only works in baseball and only on the shittiest team 👍 you can try it next year just dont share it or you will kill it. You have to bet like $10k-20k to make it worth it BUT there's better ways to profit hommie.

So just bag some bets at first and then sneak in with some winners .. Such a downer knowing a winner better gets limited....I guess you can hire runners and move to Vegas like Billy Walters...

either moving a small dog to 7 1/2 or 8 1/2 or moving down a favorite to - 1 1/2 0r - 2 1/2 ... you now have the favorite winning by 3 or 7 working for you... try to bet two team teasers with 6 points and -110 vig
