Hands down the best wheelie tutorial I've seen. I like how Ryan gives you some realistic progression steps so newbies don't think they can jump to full blown high speed wheelies, (and crash and hurt themselves) he's honest about the "practice a lot" (each step). AND the other advice I've heard is practice first on a lighter, crash-bar-equipped wheelie bike before your clean, heavy Harley that you don't want to drop.

Thanks for reminding my 63-year-old self of how I learned to wheelie in the first place. dusted off & starterd the sl 125 that sat in the shed for over 20years thrashed it every free moment i had for a week rediscovered my balance point equilibrium .changed the bars & seat on the streetbob as per your suggestions did a weeks worth of little hops loading the rear brakes.finally got the nerve to to roll the throttle in went to my balance point ran out of first gear went to second. It has been practice practice practice ever since .thrills the neighbors kids whenever I come home on the back wheel. You are spreading Joy all over with your tutorials & sound advise .anyone who ask me how you do that ? wheelie your Harley I tell them .start by watching this video

at the beggining you were saying to let the clutch out enough to start pulling and then roll onto the throttle and pop it. Was that just for the little practice pulls or is that how you should do it in general. I just got my first Harley and I am coming from bikes that dont have the torque. Ive tried a few times to pull up on a buddies sportster but I just spin the tire. I was just rolling in nuetral and popping the clutch like I am used to. Ive heard there is a slightly different way to clutch up a Harley because of the torque , is that it?

Feuling 574. Good Cam smooth on the bottom for Wheelies but gives you plenty of top in power for Rippin drifts and Burnouts. I’ve never ran the 543 but I’ve heard good things. We usually get pretty good numbers of the 574 mid 90s horsepower close to 100 foot pounds over 96 With a good pipe

Great vid dude love the channel. I have my clutch engaged just enough, as per the video, but every time I let out I'm still burning the back tire. Body weight wrong position? Tire itself? Too much throttle? I'm 220

the pre load was the best help for me. I got my bike stage 4 and have noticed anywhere from about 15mph-10 always gets it up. but I still have forward controls so pulling all the way back is sketchy for some reason. I think I just need to go for it and feel it out. I rode dirt bikes my whole life but my dyna is so much heavier lol

I'm switching to mids this winter. Watching people like C bear stunts do wheelies on a road glide, aren't those forwards or are those the halfway forwards?

Hey lot of us learned as kids on our first 50 feet down dragging them around for balance after we randomly doscover the fron coming up holding the bike still then when we got a bike with a clutch it was like magic we could do them on command moving not from a stop

I dig your bike but I'm pretty sure you bought the battery cover & gas cap at my Dad's yard sale in 1995. Thanks for the tips, I will be practicing. Do you lower rear tire air pressure to help traction ?

So I tried this technique by slipping the clutch giving it throttle and letting off the clutch lever too fast. Never ever have i ever tried a wheelie this way in all of my 25 years of riding. I couldn't get the dyna to come up. The way that works for me is snapping that clutch lever or popping it out letting it slip off my finger while cranking the throttle up. My tire doesn't spin most the time, instead the front end comes up. Maybe it's because I'm a heavier person. But popping the clutch lever out is what works for me. I just need to get over the fear of balance point and using that rear brake.
