I think it suits clear/ bright springs too! I bought a suit in that color and i consider myself clear spring. It actually looks great with my colours!

Great to know! Looking at it on the Hex graph it has quite a bit of depth to it which would move it away from the Springs. It is ever so slightly more clear than it is muted so I can see how a variation of it could work.

Love those colours you are wearing. I think I might have the same skin tone each time you chose a color for your self it’s the one I would choose for myself!

I personally love wearing black, so I definitely wear it with magenta... but I add a chunky white necklace, for example, to give some contrast.

I loved your video, very informative, especially about how to mix and match viva magenta with other colors. ❤️ Also, destroying my wallet last year after very-peri, only to realise lilac suits me better (dusky medium tone, dark eyes) and already a part of my wardrobe.🥹 I love viva magenta, 2 pieces purchased in 2017 for this color are getting me complements till date.. the moment I was about to throw them 3 months ago...guess which colour was announced as colour of the year.. 😅 Personally, i will probably club viva magenta with black, because it goes well with it's 'dusty' nature as you mentioned. Also, I liked black with magenta, more on you because it's not dividing attention on 2 colors than...not to mention I can pull it off that way in my 9-5 job!.. Please keep making such videos!. ❤️

I think I know what I'm going to do with two warmer pink tops (that looked cool viewed online). Rit Dye has Viva Magenta! I ought to be able to just drop the lighter ones into a Viva Magenta bath - rather than paying to ship them back. :)

Yes, yes! I love this colour and instinctively my fave combos are with pinks or with purples. If you are wearing bright colours is it better to keep your lippy a bit toned down Sarah?

I think it really depends on what you do with your eye make up also. If the eyes are emphasised, I go easy on the lips and vice versa :)

Hi Sarah. You mention that black would not be great but dirtier colours might be good. What about grey and magenta? In particular a grey sports jacket with a magenta overcheck.

I personally love it with grey. I recently did a reel on Instagram wearing this suit (very close to viva magenta) with a charcoal grey t-shirt and it looked great. Your combination sounds like it would work well too!

5:14/10:12 the one on the right looks like proper magenta, I'm not seeing it in the pink burgundy, sorry. I grew up with magenta being hot pink, maybe leaning purple - that was about as yellow as it got. I saw an online video of a group of Greek dancers in Sky Magenta, and it looked awesome. It wouldn't go over as lavender, and true pink magenta wouldn't go as raspberry pink on me though.

I didn't mind it with black at all.

Not to discourage or dissuade those who agree with and delight in Viva Magenta being the color of the year but... There are qualms and truths we should address. Firstly, the decision on this being the COTY seems solely based on the world of fashion. Has not past criteria been more concerned with the color's probability of proliferation throughout the zeitgeist?Secondly, the color we are seeing from fashion houses is a true magenta. This darker shade of magenta is not nearly as universally complimentary to skin tones as its progenitor. Thirdly, the adoption of this color reads as an attempt at happiness, joy and boldness. It's a forced smile during these rather tempestuous times. A time when we should strive for honesty and sincerity. Now, having said all this, I'm not certain what the color of the year should be.

Interesting view on the matter. Very few COTY are universally flattering, that is why I made this video. Viva Magenta should be interpreted so that one can make the best choice possible for themselves. I respectfully disagree that it is a forced smile but rather a symbol of hope during difficult times. Thank you for your take on it. Very thought provoking indeed.

I find that it looks like fuchsia.... Perhaps because the fabric.

@@sarahryanthestylecoach It is a tone of Pink. They have other pink on the Fashion 2023: like pale pink that can be combines with their viva magenta. It not the first time that pink was at the first place and not far ago. So to me the ladies can wear their natural magenta and combine it with other tones of pink and green. I love your jacket!
