After years of European and American military reenactment, this is a very welcome change of pace and look into an area that has interested me. Keep it up!

My friend asked his father in law how to put theses on, said in a split second he was half way up his leg. Then he stopped and said it gave him bad memories. He stated if they didn't get on the putties fast enough they would get beat.

Im glad you mentioned this. A lot of people don't realize that this video is instructional, thats why I am doing it slowly. As you said, soldiers would get punished if they were too slow and with them doing this nearly every day, they can be just as fast as an American soldier putting on his gaiters.

Helps keep everything tight and in place when you’re doing a lot of movement during combat. If a soldier is in a setting where he can’t afford to take it off then he will sleep with it on.

You'd wrap it tight enough that it wont unravel and provides a good seal, while at the same time not tight enough so that it would not suffocate your calves.
