How to Water Trees During Winter

Here I show you how to water your trees in the winter and when the best time to do so is. Trees will need to be watered if winter conditions have been dry. Dry conditions can put the trees in a lot of stress and can result in your trees dying off by mid to late summer.

I have two new trees an evergreen and a crabapple that I planted right before the winter, they told me to water it everyday but now it’s starting to get cold enough that the soil is frozen when I come back the next day. I really appreciate the water it above 40 degrees tip because I wasn’t sure what to do, thank you

No problem! Another thing you can do since there is some freezing, place some ice around the rootball areas, as the temps increase they’ll melt and give them some water.
