Ok. I bought a Roku Express plus for my 2016 Suburban and I can confirm that it works through the Aux and works fine. I couldn't get it to power the Roku through the USB port though and had to use the power plug adapter.

2017 does have anywhere for red/yellow/white plugs. They replaced them with usbs

Actually, it's better if you install a Roku2 or Roku3 instead, because you can plug a thumbdrive into either one with all your MP4 movies on it to watch on long trips where you don't have wi-fi access. I have it installed in my Town 'n Country with a 500gb portable hard drive and over 200 movies on tap to keep the kids occupied and can still watch Netflix and Hulu once in wi-fi range again! It does requiring some easy wiring connections but well worth it!

Your link goes to a roku express + ; but it’s a streaming stick. Do you remember what the package looks like? I tried doing this with regular roku express and had to buy the rca cables separately. Did not work. Please help. I’m still scouring the internet looking for the model u have

I know this is old now, but the correct model number is 3710RW. ebay is going to be where to find it at this point since everything has moved to HDMI finally. Unfortunately the GM model years in this video don't have HDMI.

I have a quick question. I bought the Roku Streaming Stick for my 2017 Yukon XL which has a HDMI port. I have set it all up and the screen comes on and I can scroll through the menu and select Netflix or Disney now or whatever but when it goes to play the video the screen is blank but I can HEAR the video. Also, I can pause it and the pause line at the bottom shows up but no video of what we are actually watching. Any ideas why this is happening? I have selected automatic detection for the Roku screen settings and still no go.......Can anyone out there help me?

It's a stupid menu system, but if you hit "video" on the home screen up front you can cycle through "media" somewhere in there sub-menu on the bottom.

It is only showing on my front screen not my rear any ideas?

Use the aux button on your remote. If you dont have the remote or that doesnt work, pop a DVD in to get the screen on then switch to aux mode.

I have a roku and rca to hdmi adapter but It doesn’t seem to be working. Which media do you put it on? Or does it not work with newer a roku?

You would need the rca cables if your vehicle doesnt have hdmi plug-ins. Then, you gotta make sure theres also power to it. Other than that, you should just need to put it on rear aux.

I have connect to my Acadia denali 2016. It's working on the front screen but not the rear screen. May you know the reason why ?

Beth Powers Yes. You need the OEM screen remote from GMC to turn it on.

@@aseeramer9658 you can get the screen remote and 2 headsets from the dealer. From the remote you cab turn the screen on and switch it to rear aux. It will work

If you have unlimited data on your phone you can just use its hotspot. Then its unlimited.

You can. You need to add in a converter from the hdmi out on the firestick to the converter which should be hdmi (input) to rca (output). I think most of the coverters that you'll find have a usb male for power but it will need to be plugged into 110 volt 2 prong normal house plug to provide sufficient power to run... i think :)

Does not work with Amazon Prime , you will get hdcp error. Netflix works great.

I can’t say off the top of my head, but I know there was an issue with HDMI to RCA using FireTV. That is what led me to the Roku solution.

Yup, and it still is as of today. I think they call it "OnStar Connected Services" now.
