Now this anime has a great ending, probably the best ending of all time

You know I thought schnitzel was gonna be more challenging for lelouch but this anime is 10 out of 10 and it's really sad siblings killing each other or fighting each other

@@ratnakiran4752 No, I only watched the two seasons and four movies. The OVAs do not interfere with the main story. You also don't need to watch the three movies as they are just recaps, you can skip straight to Lelouch of Resurrection after the end of the second season, but the movies change some events, so it's good to watch it to understand better.

You forgot the spin off "Code Geass: Akito the Exiled" despite the story focusing on different characters that we've never seen before, it takes place between season 1 and Season 2 and it focus on Europia. Though Lelouch is not the main character here, we get to see what happened to Lelouch after he got captured and before he regained his memories in season 2. The spin off is actually good for 5 episodes one hour each and the pacing is not that fast. Highly recommend it to watch before jumping straight to Season 2

What spoilers for season 2 @@it1970? Aside from the fact that Lelouch is alive, that is. But that's revealed straightaway in episode 1 of season 2 anyway, so his presence here isn't much of a spoiler in that regard. Likewise, those who may wtf at the bizarre behavior of his altered-memory persona are just as likely to be confused by his personality and mismatched memories in R2 ep 1 so once again it's a non-issue as far as I can tell. I'd agree with you if some major plot point from mid-season or later of R2 was showcased here first, but that's not even remotely the case. Why avoid a "spoiler" that happens a mere handful of minutes into R2 episode 1 and postpone an OVA for 25 full episodes instead? Especially since that OVA clearly takes place in-universe and in-between the events of seasons 1 and 2? I tend to just tell people it isn't essential to the *Lelouch of the Rebellion* storyline so if they'd rather skip it they can however though *Akito the Exiled* isn't "essential info" to the main series it is nonetheless "additional info" that layers another vantage point which further fleshes out and world-builds the Code Geass universe itself i.e. if they're interested in briefly checking out another POV in another part of the world map _(specifically, what the show refers to as "the E.U." a.k.a "Europia United" and what we in modern parlance recognize as "continental Europe" or "the westernost peninsula of Eurasia" etc)_ after a season that was solely focused on "Elevens" (read: Japanese) and specifically centered around Area 11 (Japan) they can take a brief breather and check out this 5 ep OVA miniseries during that respite _(since after all, chronologically speaking, it definitely fits neatly in the hiatus period between seasons)_ before then continuing on their "Lelouch of the Rebellion" journey. And besides, considering the fact that all other Code Geass alternative media thus far (the light novels, the mangas, the movies, etc) unfortunately have the nasty habit of retconning the existing canon established by Code Geass thus far _(characters who died before now live, another character who lived before now dies, character motivations abruptly change because lulz why not, THE SUPERB NAY PERFECT ENDING OF THIS SHOW _*_is ignored and retconned_*_ because we wanna bring this character back for the movie because um reasons, these characters all get a Geass but apparently in this storyline Geass isn't a set of powers linked to "mental perception" like it's been documented literally everywhere else thus far but now suddenly and inexplicably they're legit DC/Marvel superpowers that can alter physical reality... wtf?!)_ the Akito OVAs are a far more faithful adaptation that stays true to the original spirit and source content. So I have absolutely no qualms with recommending Akito the Exiled to fans of Code Geass and don't even mind encouraging watching it all is chronological order rather than release order as it just adds to the experience as far as I can see. It' is not, strictly speaking, "necessary" so it's totally fine if someone skips it entirely, that would have no negative impact on the R2 viewing experience. That being said, watching it doesn't cause a negative impact in the form of spoilers, retconned characters, storyline discontinuities, etc etc either (unlike literally every single one of the others). So...since there is no cognitive dissonance with watching it (in whatever order) as far as I can tell, and furthermore it can even offer value in the form of an additional vantage point in that world and era, providing rich context and more lore to the overarching Code Geass universe, taking a quick detour to explore this other corner of the globe through Akito's eyes is a net positive for fans as far as I'm concerned (yes, even if it's watched in between seasons 1 and 2 of the main "Lelouch of the Rebellion" TV series since the events of "Akito the Exiled" takes place during that time anyway).

as long as Nunnally is unsafe, they're still Code Geass continuation.

This shit was one of the best anime I ever watched. It was an absolute masterpiece

@@alpha-mk6ig he fulfilled an insane mission against all odds he accomplished his goal so the story is done he sacrificed himself if he gets resurrected his sacrifice is cheapened imo it served as a good close to his story and idk if you remember but he wasn’t exactly a saint so in most stories like that people pay for what they did in the end otherwise it’s like letting them off the hook because they did it “for the greater good” even tho he did plenty of stuff that was messed up

Code Geass Season 1. There are bonus scenes on the discs which are helpfully labeled for where they go between episodes. After Season One, chronologically, Akito the Exiled takes place. It's a lovely series with a more consistent tone. Not super relevant to the plot, but it really fleshes out the world, and contains my favorite Knightmare (robot) fights! Then Lelouche of the Rebellion season 2. Just like the first season there are bonus scenes. Next would be the "Oz The Reflection" manga (never read it), but I hear that it has some interesting information about the homeland of the bad guys for most of the series, the Brittanian royalty. Finally, the Lelouche of the Resurrection film. It takes place in an alternate universe (based around the remake films) with some inconsistencies from the series, but it's manageable. If you love the series and just want to see what the world is like after the fall of Emperor Lelouche, then it's a good time. The Recolour series is a retelling of the story with a non canon player character. I hear that one major story beat can be changed that would normally occur towards the end of season 1. The Nunnally in Wonderland special is entirely skippable fanservice... "Suzaku of the Counterattack", (Lelouche's frenemy) is a spinoff manga that has Suzaku as the main character, and puts him in a power-suit instead of a Knightmare. Never read it. I've also never read Nightmare of Nunnally.
