I have a 100% military wool blanket that I washed on Wool cycle with Dr Bronners soap. Is there a way to lanolize the blanket to soften it? Thanks

How often do you do this

I wash lanolin out of wool before combing and spinning it, but I’ve never allowed lanolin in my pipes and drain. How do you avoid problems? That stuff builds up like bacon grease.

Never thought about it like that. I use a basin so I can easily just dump it down the toilet. Would that be an alternative?

I personally would avoid pouring it down the toilet because it still goes through your pipes. People with septic tanks should really avoid that. However, I like your idea about using a basin. I could just dump it outside or even use it in the flower garden.
