How To Warp a Frame Loom

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

The very first tutorial to dive into when you're starting to weave on frame looms for the first time! This tutorial shows you exactly how to warp a frame loom, what type of material to warp it with, and how to even out your warp tension to make sure your weaving stays square once you take it off the loom.

So glad you have started from basics, new to weaving, watched a few of your tutorials but felt I needed a real basic intro to the art of weaving and the tools etc. I have a loom, I have my wool but not really sure where to start and I want to incorporate some of the different stitches and textrues.

Could you do a video showing how you plan your weaves out ahead? That would be super helpful! You talk about decision fatigue in custom pieces in another video but I feel like I have that when making it for myself haha!

Hey Jenelle- me and my sister watched a lot of your videos this weekend for a project. We are total beginners. Thank you so much for all the instruction and your work is gorgeous! I think you said in one video to leave feedback, so I hope this is ok. We just wanted to suggest to go slower with your demo’s as beginners we were confused easily lol. And lots of repetition of the stitch. But really the videos are great- we appreciate the content and your husband editing - all of it. ♥️♥️♥️

Hi one thing to add in when you are starting if your loom has teeth with notches orient the warp strings to catch them. Sounds obvious but it can be confusing and frustrating when you are starting out. I enjoy your videos.

Definitely give it a try! The nice thing about weaving its that it's SO easy to un-weave a row if you need to.
