Harriet and I have been to The Jewel at Changi Airport. We have been to Singapore three times and never miss visiting The Jewel. The Water Vortex! How cool is that. The food out of this world. Seriously how do they even fit Wakanda inside the airport is mind blowning haha... I personally think that Jewel was the very throughtful place especially for casual travelers on the last day of the trip, where most of the time we just have the blank mind on "where shall we go" or "what can we do" during the final day on this country. We are in the rushing mode that sometimes we will be worried about whatever time-consuming activities that we might missed our flight or have to cab down to the airport at last minutes. Well... just head down to Jewel and there you can enjoy many things for couple hours or so before your flight time to your next destination

i subscribed to your channel! thanks for the info. my 9y/o dtr and I will be going to SG in Oct for 4 days... so excited! 1st time traveling alone with her to a foreign country. i am not worried as i've researched that SG is a safe place and transportation is really easy with MRT's and buses.

These are really awesome tips, Phoebe! Love the one about purchasing the canopy ticket to watch the night shows. Hehe. Anyway, just wanted to share some Singapore tips for everyone: 1. Cross the street from Jewel to Changi Airport Terminal 1! There is an employee food court at Basement 1 that is also open to public. Prices are much cheaper compared to the food court in Jewel. Tourists can enter this space, but do give way to employees to purchase their meals first! :) 2. Visit Jewel early in the morning around 8am - 10am to get the best shots without that many people! Also, the rain vortex is quite literally a rain vortex where water is constantly circulated to help lower the temperature of the indoor environment :D

@@iamsuperbambina The area is still accessible but unfortunately, the rain vortex does not run 24/7 ☹ Here are the opening hours: Mon - Thu: 11:00AM - 10:00PM or Fri - Sun, including PH: 10:00AM - 10:00PM

00:06 :17 When I was there last month there was a very long queue running along the side of the balcony for the Birds of Paradise ice cream. Obviously it has become very popular and I would have needed about 15 to 20 minutes for the queue.

I'll be there for a couple days in February and booked a room at the hotel in Terminal 3. I'll have lots of time to explore! Also, booked and paid for Canopy Park admission online. Highly recommended!

Hiya! Airports are my home, so I’m happy you did this episode 😊. Do they have gluten-free dumplings at that first restaurant? That chili dip looks so good though. You didn’t know the Rain Vortex was part of the shopping mall? Nice to see you’ve been surprised 😛. I knew Jewel was Landside, because I got a warning when seeking flights that we would be unable to visit if you don’t have the right visa. Good warning for everyone who wants to travel through Singapore to see Jewel. Singapore Airport is a daytrip on its own it seems 😮. I don’t think the cinema will work for me, I sleep better in cinemas than I sleep in planes, so I would be falling asleep and then miss my flight 😂. By the way, a little off-topic, but I just bought the Kangaroo Island Day Trip for February 🎉. Thanks for sharing your SIN experiences and have a wonderful week 🤙

Not sure on the GF dumplings but if they don't have anything for you, there are a million other spots that will! There's SO much food there. Oh AMAZING - so happy you're gonna visit Kangaroo Island!!! I'm so excited for you!!!

Heading to Singapore for the grand prix this year. Finally! Mate and I were booked pre pandemic and obviously didn't make it. Anyway, it'll be my fourth trip to Singapore, third time for the race. This looks insane! I'm transiting through Singapore Airport next week with a four-hour layover. Is it easy to leave departures, get into the mall, check out the waterfall and get back into departures in that timeframe? Really want to see the waterfall, nervous about doing it on a time limit! We had a 4.5hr layover in Singapore from Thailand and had planned to spend the time at the Jewel. HOWEVER we were told we needed a layover of at least 5 hours to be able to leave the airport section we were in! We were so bummed!! :( Will definitely plan better next time!

Ma'am, you can find out if your smartphone photo editor has a eraser app/function to erase others, but make sure they're behind you so you don't erase part of yourself. All the best n thank you for visiting. Btw, the rain Vortex also changes to Mist vortex n on 4th floor, kids can jump on it as the mist CES out from the grass .or turf. Cheers

Jewel is not in the airport. Think of it as a mall next to the airport. So you have to go through immigration and Singapore to see it 🙏🏼

I think people uses some kind of apps to erase backgrounds so that it appears they're the only one in the photo. I know that Google Pixel phones' photo app comes with features that can erased out unwanted backgrounds in photos.

That would depend on whether or not you have your tickets for the next flight already. If your bags are checked all the way to your final destination and you have your boarding pass for all your flights then you have no reason to go back to the check-in counters 👌🏻you’d just enter Singapore, visit jewel then head back to departures where you clear security and customs again exactly like you do after you’ve checked in and dropped your bags normally ♥️

Hi! To see Jewel you need to enter Singapore. This means you must go through immigration and enter the country. I would not try to do this with a 2 hour layover! :)

I'll be there in March, layover for 7 hours however I heard the Jewel rain fall doesn't starts until 11 am and my flight will be 1pm , do you think I have enough time to see the rain vortex and able to catch my flight?

7 hours is plenty of time and the rain vortex doesn’t start at 11am. I’m pretty sure it never stops running unless closed for maintenance.

This is true, though, some people would find they get charged international transaction fees for each use! Not worth it for a $1 train or bus ride haha :)

You don’t need a ticket to enter Jewel - it’s a shopping mall. You only need a ticket for the ticketed attractions like the canopy walk

hahahaha that's what I thought too! I was running between flights looking for the massive waterfall hahaha so goofy :) Yes! So think of it like a shopping mall... you can visit whether or not you're travelling. Some Singaporeans book a night or two at the airport hotel for a staycation and spend a day here at Jewel. Pretty cool :)

Still the whole thing is a mystery to me our malls are real not great in Europe and these spaces are so huge I don’t know how to feel about them! Love or totally overwhelmed I’m not sure which way my heart will feel but nonetheless I’m very curious and want to experience it and make my own judgment! Good advice. Do not take your luggage into Changi Jewel. I have written complaints about not having clear warning signage (especially for older folks), that it is a one kilometer walk (felt like it) from Terminal to Jewel. Then when you want to go home, the taxi drop off outside Jewel cannot take on passengers (stupid traffic regulation). You have to take your self and luggage all the way to the other side of the airport terminal and wait in line with passengers who have just disembarked. If you are not physically fit, there is nothing but a waterfall similar to Gardens by the Bay or MBS. Shops are plentiful but not really relevant - imagine Gardens by the Bay full of shops. My experience in Changi Jewel was not so good and I went without any baggages.

Nobody goes to viewing gallery to view planes anymore...which is the crux of any airport....

Everything looks good. Must be my longing feeling.
