It really depends. If you like history and ruins, sure. If not, better go to the lakes and national parks.

a month ago I paid 600 som for taxi to burana and back to tokmok plus 1 hour waiting time, 1300 he offered to you is extremely high. Yandex usually don't work in Tokmok, because there are not enough drivers so it rarely works. Edit: you can always change the destionaion in Yandex if you have choosen a wrong destination.

Yah, I figured 1300 was too expensive, as I read on a blog that it could be as low as 500. Tried to haggle it down, but he wouldn't go lower than 1000. Anyway, I'm no good at haggling, I would rather just walk the 12 odd kilometers if I had enough time. 😄 I was also quite surprised that I could get a Yandex easily in Tokmok, considering it's not a major city. Didn't have to wait long at all.

That's good that you can change the destination. I only realized it was the wrong one when we arrived. The driver did ask me if I wanted him to drive me there for an extra 200. I chose to walk 😆
