Howfinity .... so one question I have is how to utilize the whole screen of a website that me (the Host) is using to teach something from a website. Is there a way to make to make the website FIT on my Zoom screen? Ty

@@AskBradFischer I believe when you press sharescreen on a zoom session, it allows you to pick your entire screen or just an application or a website that is open on Chrome and your web browser. I just tested it and it showed the entire website edge to edge.

Now this is the way to make a computer video! He has helpful graphics, he moves along at an easy to follow pace, he's pitching to his audience, and not talking over the beginner level with a lot of needless jargon, and he has an excellent speaking voice. . I have seen dozens of computer videos where the guy zips around too fast, he leaves out helpful information and assumes to much knowledge on the part of his audience. Many of those computer videos don't even have a narrator! No one is talking. I know computer boys are famous for poor social skills. But people who make videos on every other topic understand that a tutorial video needs a narrator explaining what is happening on the screen.

TY for your help with Zoom. I do have a question. At the time of my scheduled meeting, as the host, how do I let guests into the “ room”. I always get texts “ it’s showing that there’s another meeting and we can’t get into the one scheduled “ from those I invited. My upper right hand corner image shows my video cam in red. Sandra Fennings Hi Sandra. It’s pretty easy but not obvious. After you push the start button to begin a meeting, your screen will have a menu across the bottom. Push the “more” button on the right side. There’s an option for “virtual background”. Push that button and you can use a default background or add up to 3 photos from your photo library. This works on my iPhone, not sure about android or my MacBook Pro.

On the settings (Gear symbol in lower right of image) you can choose a different playback speed. The video originator chooses whether to enable this, this one DID.

First time I'm going to use Zoom this week in a conference. I really hope I'm not going to be the last one in the group to get it set up properly when it goes live. It gets messy when you have a separate cam, from headphones and microphones, etc, and not all built into a laptop. I have a tower PC with loads of different speaker outputs, mic inputs, sound card outputs.

Thank you for the introduction into 'Zoom'. As an aside. How do you produce a red circle around the mouse pointer and the dynamic red/green ellipse when highlighting a particula aspect of Zoom? I have looked at 'Zoomit' but cannot detect the shapes/effects at your video.

Thanks for the video, however my screen doesn’t look like yours. Is this because I’m using the app on an iPad? It doesn’t show Home etc across the top. I was part of a zoom meeting the other day and could only see a few of the other people, and couldn’t see any of the control buttons.

Hi, Thank you for this. I have been teaching fitness classes with large groups of people. I start the Zoom meeting 15 minutes before hand to give everyone a chance to get in and we socialize a little bit waiting for the class to start. For this I find the gallery view to be most beneficial but once I start teaching the class I want to be the only screen that people are able to see. Is there a way for me to prevent those who are attending from seeing others in the class and have their screen lock to me? Also, when I "mute all" am I muting them from hearing each other as well? Once I get it on gallery mode I seem to be having trouble getting the screen back to only showing me and I would like to record the classes so I don't want anyone else's screen showing, even in a smaller box. Once the class is finished I want everyone to be able to socialize again so I've been taking them off mute and I want to go back to Gallery mode. So far I just haven't been able to get off gallery mode once the class starts and have no idea if they have been listening to each other even when I have them on mute. Thanks again! Devon

Thank You just one Q: If you create a meeting and then send the link out by email to everyone do they have to have the Zoom App on their system to participate or no.

No, they just have to click on the link and that takes them to the meeting online.

Thankyou, I am a Psychologist and will need to use this for sessions. I know this must sound silly, but if I start a meeting, and send the email to the participant that I want which will always be one person, they would then have to have the zoom app on their computer or iPad is that correct,? You explain this very well but I just need a bit of clarification as this will be the first time I use any type of video conferencing. Thank you again regards Linda Holland Queensland Australia

My Mother -in-law is in a musical group that wants to rehearse but you can only hear one instrument at a time. Is there a way to make it multiplex so everyone can be heard by everyone else at the same time?
