I'm trying to us an A7C, but it's not working at all. It was on the Imaging Edge list so it should work. I also don't see where to change from my webcam to the now set up and plugged in A7C.

i'd like to point out that you can also plug in your sony camera with the USB cable to charge it as well. not sure if you have to buy the battery adapter.

I have no interest in live streaming or using my camera as a webcam, but I lost some settings and could NOT figure out why my gimbal and external power weren't powering my camera all of a sudden! After two days of stress I found the answer here -- the PC remote has to be turned on and set to USB to get external power. Thank you!!!!

I have a Zv-e10 plugged into my computer via USB. I also have a focusrite scarlett solo with an audiotechnica AT2040 plugged into it....should i turn off audio recording on the camera so it doesn't record with the on-board mic while the scarlett solo is picking up audio via AT2040 mic?

Love your videos. Can you confirm on the ZV-E10 that when streaming via HDMI that you actually *need* the continuous power adapter? Couldn't you just plug in with the available USB-C on the camera to get this power?

@@JayWoahLive It does, but I had to call Sony to figure it out. LOL. The ZV-1F just needs the USB cable and then to be put into USB mass storage mode, then it works as a webcam. No additional software needed.

Question, I got a Capture Card and utilized it w/ StreamYards but as happy as I am that the Camera (Sony VZ1), I'm wondering how to remove the menu screen? Is it a mode or setting I need to change? I see that there's a camera, video, and S&Q mode and I'm wondering if that's something to look into? Any recommendations?

Hi! The Sony A7iii only has a MICRO hdmi, not the regular HDMI. Would the usb or the MICRO hdmi give better quality?

Hello, I just bought Sony a57 and after watching yoru video on streaming with Sony camera, i tried using Hdmi cable with capture card but the image is not clear at all, just wanted to know what am missing

The USB cable will power camera by charging battery on the A6100 and you don’t need a capture card. do you know if the HDMI cable will do so also? Great content.

Thank you for the video, very clear and direct. Regarding the dummie battery and AC adaptor you mentioned, wouldn't a USB cable plugged in the camera for charging purposes have the same result (i.e. ongoingly charging the camera)?

It doesn't work this way unfortunately. It will for a little but if you're live streaming youll want the continuous battery.

Some Sony Cameras like the 7C works with HDMI and USB connected at the same time, so power can come from the USB cable. I don't get that to work for my older A6400.

I need help!! Just purchased a Sony A7iv. (As a webcam), I need to record 4k 60fps, and live stream 1080p at 60fps. The cable that came with the Sony is a 3ft 3.2 I believe USB to USB-C. I have a sit stand desk and need 8-10 ft to be safe. I need a cable with a minimum of 10 gig transfer rate. I cannot find what I need. What am I missing? Please explain and/or link options. For some reason when I connect Mic to my camera it does not work with my Mac. Do you know why? It does work with camera but and camera can record audio but my Mac does see audio but it is not working.

Great video, I have a question, when I use my Sony A7C + HDMI capture card in Zoom, when I de-selected HD in Zoom settings, my video got distorted, like it’s squeezed toward the center. (Forcing to 720P?), when I selected HD, the video looks normal. But HD option isn’t available in other conference softwares. Why is this happening? Is there a fix?

Better use type c cable and let camera show as usb webcam. Also needs 5Gbps usb c cable to access 1080p+ resolution

Sadly yes. For the Sony 6300 is no longer supported for livestreaming via the imaging app.

Yes you will still need a capture card! The HDMI port on your laptop is for a monitor so it's an "out signal" whereas the capture card makes it an "in signal"

I have a sonyfx30 camera. I upgraded to version 3.0. When I connect it to the PC, the imaging edge works directly as a webcam without the need for a webcam application.

You don't even need imaging edit , camera has an inbuilt driver to function as a webcam

why would you set the framerate to 24fps? the camera cant output at 4k60fps? or even 1080p60?

What is the lens you’re using here? Or the best lens for live-streaming?

I totally want to love this camera but still feel that in 2021 going to 2022 it should have some extra stuff that panasonic could cram into G85 in 2016 😢😢😢 Also, some have mentioned that the fullHD is line skipped 1080p. Haven't really compare that thoroughly with other camera, but if it's actually pretty bad then it's sadly not for me since I'm mostly gonna do things in 1080.

Is there a big difference in quality using USB vs. HDMI + capture card?

Has anyone got the HDMI option working for the Sony A7iii? I'm lost as to what I'm doing wrong as this does not work. My computer never recognizes the camera. The computer only recognizes the camera when a USB cable is used.

None of these worked for my macbook pro and I have a sony zv1. I don't have an HDMI but the usb cables that fits into the camera and converter. Really don't want to purchase something else I don't need. ugh!

Imaging Edge is detecting my camera and I can take photos and videos, but Zoom is not. I tried closing all the apps and restarting and didn't help. Help please!
