I can no longer make my morning coffee on my stove-top. my pot looks big enough, but I guess it is too small! Had I realized this before purchasing, I my have reconsidered. Nah, I really am impressed with the speed at which pans and liquid heat up. I will never go back to electric coil. Although gas is my preferred cooking fuel, we've been trying to reduce our use of propane. The lower settings are kinda useless to preheat a pan, I use 9 or H to quickly get up to searing temp then lower to 5-6 to cook. So far I am very pleased with this stove, except for the fact that I have to make my coffee on a portable unit, outside. I am wondering if there is any way to use smaller pots and pans on these burners...

Hi, Joseph! Your cookware does need to be a certain size to register on the induction coil; smaller pots may not be able to be properly heated. However, you can try using an induction conversion plate with a larger surface area underneath! It may take a little longer, as the plate will have to be heated by the induction coil and then transfer that heat to your pot via conduction (similar to how an electric range works), but it will allow you to use smaller or non-ferromagnetic cookware on your stove! I hope this information helps. ~Ashton

It is nice to be told that there is a minimal size pan that will work on each burner. What is that minimal size in inches? Videos and photos all show family size pots and pans of food. How about for a single who uses smaller cookware? Otherwise, you range looks great and if minimal sizes are not too large I will be buying one.

I have a question regarding the induction range with the front or rear control panel. When purchasing (not purchased yet) I understood there was no power cord with the device, if so why pay a huge price if the power cord is not included ? Logically, all cooking appliances (stoves) come with their power cord, so why is this one not included? Please correct me if I am wrong, thank you !

Ranges and wall ovens do not come with a power cord. However, the armored cable leads supplied with the appliance are UL-recognized for connection to larger gauge household wiring. This is dependent on the 3 or 4 wire junction box within in the home. This can be determined by new installation or a replacement. The detailed illustrations of this are provided in the available installation guide. Thx

Thank you for your explanation, but I have another question. Why do you provide a power cord for the dryer but not for the stove? I would like to know the reason, because if I pay a large amount for my induction cooker, I expect to be able to plug it in as soon as I receive it?

Our electric dryers do not typically come with a cord, either! They require a 240-volt connection, and most homes only have one 240-volt outlet available. Depending on the age of the home, they may have a NEMA 10-30 or 14-30 or even a 6-30 outlet, which all require different plug shapes, so it is generally better for a consumer to locate their own cord to match the outlet in their home. Some homes do not have a 240-volt outlet for ranges at all - just a junction box, so our ranges are set up to be hard wired. If you do have an outlet, power cords to match it can be purchased and connected easily. We would recommend checking what you will be plugging your range into and having a matching cord ready! Full installation instructions should be listed on the product page on Frigidaire.com, if needed. ~Ashton

I bought an induction cooktop (36 inch model) and am wholly dissatisfied with the defective unit and the poor response on Frigidaire's end. Since the beginning there was a hotspot on the largest element (less than a third of the element would heat the pan). My husband and I cook very often and have had induction cooktops in the past - the element was definitely not adequately turning on. We had to get two different visits from a technician to finally say that the element was defective. Third technician visit claimed that the replacement element received was also busted. Fourth/Fifth technician visit first claimed that the second-replacement element was also not complete, but the guy installed it anyways with and the severe hotspot problem persists. Not only is the element still not functioning as it should, but now after so many technicians opening, closing, unplugging, tinkering, repositioning with pliers and screwdrivers, the other elements are now acting up (they are slower to heat up and the Pb setting no longer works). The other elements were working fine until the latest visit. At this point I feel that Frigidaire has no intent of honoring the quality of their product and would rather send out an army of technicians until I give up. Replace this particular unit or at least tell me if this model is known for giving trouble so that I can find a replacement with a better track record.

Many factors affect baking results. Use the proper oven rack position. Center food in the oven and space pans to allow air to circulate. Preheat the oven to a set temperature before placing food in the oven. Try adjusting the recipe's recommended temperature or baking time. The size and type of cookware used will influence the heat setting needed for the best cooking results. The cooking times and temperatures needed to bake a product may vary slightly from your previously owned appliance.
