I struggled for a bit too. If you haven't already or don't know it, you can activate the button bar on the bottom instead of using gestures.

For those who prefer the traditional soft buttons, there is a 3-button navigation option in settings under gestures... There's also a way to change the power button to turn off the phone but the Assistant would be lost. Just know there are options out there... have an issue/want to change something, do a quick search and see how to make the change or maybe there's an app that will help.

There are other voice, tap, and swipe gestures to access the Assistant still so you don't have to worry about 'losing' it if you want to change the power button to something else. You just have to dig in the setting a bit more to have it how you like. I personally changed mine to the swipe from corner option cause it fell most natural/quick. The tap option is probably another good one but I made that my screenshot button instead.

@@wujunhao007 I had the carrier transfer all my data and apps, so I got up and running quickly. Had to reenter a bunch of passwords. The 6 and 2xl are nearly the same physical size. 3 weeks in, I'm still struggling with the home page and app switcher. I'm happy enough with the 6 and am glad I didn't go through 6 pro.

Nichole, you can also go into Settings and turn on the Home (🔴) Back (▶️) & Last (⬜) buttons at the bottom of the screen. Gestures will still work but it is easier to have the familiar icons.

My Pixel 3XL is still so badass and in mint condition...the only downside is that the battery life is dying. I keep it at home constantly plugged in and use it exclusively on wifi when I am in bed or just chilling at home in order to prolong the battery on my S22 Ultra. Google Pixel 3XL's Display is still stellar and front facing stereo speakers are killer. Exact same software basically even as Pixel 6. Absolutely love my Pixel 3XL to this day. I might get the battery replaced.

The reason your battery life is down is because you're keeping it plugged in all the time. I just learned this 2 weeks ago. Serach online for lithium battery life and you'll find a site that explains this mre.

Thank you! I just got my phone and for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to get back to the home screen. Now I know. The only issue I've had with it so far is my photos. I clicked on two years ago trying to find a photo and it jumped to sixteen years ago! No idea why.

To get rid if the annoying lock screen clock with the unlegible 4 large squared digits; settings->display->lockscreen-> unselect double-line clock.... This makes it look normal.

Actually there are quite a few differences from Ice Cream Sandwich that was running on my HTC. I was forced to update in order to access the security camera at my front door. Thanks for your useful guide to what I needed to know! Sadly I still can’t get fingerprint unlock to work. I was spoilt by my HTC that was a piece of piss to set up!

Is there any way I can create my own colleges? That is to pick my layout... which pictures I wish to highlight, which I prefer to minimize and the sequence of the pictures. Hi! I just got a Pixel 6. I accidentally denied permissions when I wanted to use voice typing (speak my text instead of type what I wanted to say). I can't turn it back on. I saw a lot of videos on KZread that explained how to turn it back on, however, I would get through most of the steps but then I wouldn't have the final option to choose from to finish the process. Is there an easy way to go back and give permissions so I can use voice typing for texts? (I can record audio, but NOT voice type). I appreciate your thelp!

just ordered the 6 Pro. previously have 2xl. Seems cumbersome to take a screen shot. On my 2xl all have to do is hold the power button for a couple of seconds and then select Screen shot. Thanks for the guide

So this is basically like going from my S22+ back to an upgraded version of my Moto G3. Stock Android is a great way to go, and I look forward to getting my Pixel 6. I'm done with thousand dollar phones.

Hello! Great video, I learned alot. I love my new Pixel 6, but have this ?: My Google Assistant bar on the bottom of my phone is multi-colored. The same phone used in the video showed this Google Assistant widget as mainly white. I did try to select the white option in my widget preference of the Google Assistant, but when I hold and drag it to my home screen, it reverts to the default multi-colored widget. Does anyone know why or how to get it to stay as white?

Must be something to do with the theme setting, it's making it blend/ match with your background. Not sure if the is a seperate option to turn that feature off? It does this to all your buttons/search bars to theme along nicely with the main colours on your screen background.

Hey thanks for the video. Having difficulty logging into Yahoo apps that transferred when I switched from the Samsung phone. It keeps saying open any Yahoo app and get this code, but none of them will open. I can login to the Yahoo apps using the Gmail username, but those accounts don't have any of the emails or sports teams saved, etc, as those were on the account that has the Yahoo login

I need to ask a compatibility question. Something I want to be able to do is have my Bluetooth tic watch and my portable Bluetooth speaker connected to my phone. Is the Pixel 6 capable of allowing you to control your Bluetooth speaker with the watch like track change or volume changes? The reason I'm asking is because the Pixel 5A would not allow it but it does work on a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

Can I change the battery myself in this phone?

Great video....make one that is a little slower for people like me that are trying to keep up. Some folk grew up with a cell phone in their hands but not me. Despite all this it was a very informative video & I would recommend it.

I got my phone second hand so I crammed a wooden skewer into the sim release slot. It worked enogh so I could pull the tray out but don't recommend it. Someone may have some mig welding wire on hand for a better result. (A welding shop might give you some wire for free) I have wire at work, but after hours and needed results there and then lol.

I already know the more advanced stuff like flashing and installing custom firmware.

My ear keeps hitting the mute button when I am on a call any suggestions on how to stop that from happening ? I've had the pixel 6 for 2 weeks now, it's my first google phone and I am starting to hate it
