I tried with my HyperCard cloud II but it only works when I plug it into the normal headset hole on the top but not when I plug it into the usb

What headset do you have

After driving around all night trying to find a solution to a "wired headset" for the switch to be able to chat with friends on Fortnite i stumbled across this video. Thank God for people like you my friend. Subscribed!

can you do that from a tv going threw your switch? we can hear players however they can not hear us, is there a fix for this?

Thanks for confirming the full reset issue. My sons got headphones in the jack in his wired controller that's in the USB socket and for some reason the mic just cut out and nothing we could do got it back til we did a full reset despite the fact theybqoekwd6fine plugged into the switch direct. The second we did the full reset BOOM the mic worked again.

I have an omen mindframe prime headset, with a usb end. Whenever I plug it in it lights up like it’s on, but no sound comes through, only through the tv as if no headphones were plugged in. I’m not sure what to do, will my headset just not work with my switch?

Got a question. I learned how to connect a USB headset to the Switch that's great !! now how do I get the image to be on the TV & still be able to hear & talk? my wireless controller does not support a headset so that's a no go. I'm playing FallGuys Ultimate Knockout by the way.

No sound with the Razer Nari Ultimate (connected to dock with usb receiver)... I restated the switch a few times but the problem persist.

I have a Steelseries Arctis Nova 3 wired and connected at the docking station at the USB port but it is NOT working. In the manual I can read that I can connect the USB cable with the Switch and it should work. But it doesn't. So how do I get sound from the USB port?

The usb in the inside is usb 3.0. Which one do you suggest plugging it in?

For some reason when using a PlayStation Gold usb headset, (which used to work fine on the switch for me), I no longer get any sound.

Doesnt seam to work for me i have the logitech G535 headset. I plug the usb reciever into the dock and audio still plays from the TV. Any help? I tried about everything i could from shutting down the switch outside of the dock and then putting it back in the dock while still turned off to googling on how to fix it, but nothing works.

It does work as you said!....but it also mutes the Switch when you try to record your gameplay with an Elgato.

I wanted to get a wireless headset for Switch but wasn't sure if they work properly for the switch so thanks for this video!

I’m having a problem with my USB headset when my Nintendo Switch is docked. I plugged it into the USB port, but no sound is coming through. It’s only coming through the TV speakers like the headset isn’t connected at all. Even though when it is connected, the headset is lit up but I’m getting no sound through it. I have the Corsair “Void RGB Elite USB” headset. If anyone knows the solution, please reply! It would be much appreciated. I don’t know if it’s just not gonna work with the Switch or I need to mess around with my settings.

I'm having this problem to but with a different headset. The headset is lit up, it makes a noise when the Switch comes on and sounds like its ready to output audio but nothing happens and when I turn my TV volume up the audio is coming through the TV instead. The only other headset I have is a wireless bluetooth headset and while I know bluetooth works now without having to use any stupid adaptors I'd rather use the same headset I use for everything else, that being my wired gaming headset.

Same. The USB adapter has a light on, but no sound comes from the headphones. I got Corsair H70 Pro. Tried everything. Online advertising claims it works for Switch. Starting to think only with a chord. I'd love a solution if anyone finds.

Thank you for telling me to restart my Switch so the USB headset would work!! This was my problem and now it's fixed!! Huge kudos to you!

if you plug an aux cable into the switch and the other end into your mic port on your computer you can go into windows sound and go to properties of "Line-In" and select "Listen to this device" and this actually works

@yoursixstudios I have a Nubwo g06 and I did the things that you said but It did not work. I can hear audio but my microphone wont work. I play Fortnite and I made sure the settings for voice chat and mute buttons and stuff were correct but it still didn't work. Can you please help me?

That’s what I have too. Been trying to figure it out for hours. Finally got Bluetooth to work with a firmware update but mic doesn’t work. Can’t seem to figure out how to get the usb light speed mode to work.

Does anyone experience your headset disconnecting? I’m using a usb wireless one, will resetting my switch stop this it will disconnect in the middle of a game

So, for anyone who don't seem to able to connect the headphone or used to have one that worked but suddenly stopped, try completely turning off the Switch outside the dock (hold the power button then select the turn off option) then put the switch into the dock while it is still turned off. The console will turn on by itself and the issue should be solved. At least it did in my case.

I haven't thought this till I see your comentary. I have an unloked switch, so i thoght that was the unlockment bugging out of nowhere, when I reinjected the payload, the usb heatset come back working. Sorry for the bad english.

I've had my switch for 2 years now. I have never noticed those two USB A inputs while docked. I've always used the one in the back. Yes I do question my sanity on the regular.
