i wrote my essay completely with no ai at all, but it came up as 38% ai written. Why are they so inconsistent and inaccurate? If they are so inaccurate, then why are they used by teachers to punish student?

It a vicious cycle. Students come up with new ways to trick ai and ai detectors are getting stricter resulting in lots of false positives.

@@wordsatscale Exactly, your proclamation could not be more true! I wrote a paragraph utilizing synonyms of words I searched up on google and I managed to get %78 AI written. While some might argue that I had only used a paragraph and not a whole essay, therefore the AI detector couldn’t search as specifically as it would have. This still instills the notion that teachers should not be using AI detectors to punish students! (side note: If you put harvard essays into an AI detector it will be detected as %90 written by AI. Which means that if you write a good, hardy essay. You will automatically be accused of using AI)

I paraphrased original work using gpt to enrich the vocabulary and writing style. Which tool did you use to transform the essay which is AI undetected. Also have journals started using AI detector? any idea on that.

I often use undetectable.ai. Not sure about journals, but journalists from HARO are now often stating that “no ai content will be accepted”, so they must be using some type of ai detection.

I was doing some testing and I paraphrased an essay by hand that chatgpt wrote and some detectors flagged it as AI while other did not. How does paraphrased content compare to turnitin without the use of humanize ai tools? Is copyleaks or crossplag/contentatscale a better representation for manually paraphrased content?

The best way I've found to get human output is to submit to GPT4 several copies of my original writing, then prompt the AI to mimic my writing style, tone, and sentence structure to produce a new work. 100% of the time it comes back as human.

I would like that too cause i found that zero GPT gives you the most accurate results with percentages but still confused when it doesn't mark a sentence as AI but says human impact is 0.0 but it highlighted light green like its not AI

Hey, its very urgent please respond. Ive one day left to turn in my master’s thesis and winston, content on scale and cross plag are giving zero ai detection on my thesis. But copyleaks is continuously giving 100% ai detection, no natter what. I've the free version of all these ai detectors, therefore I can only enter limited words. I paraphrased an introductory paragraph of ny thesis 4 times but copyleaks is still gibing 100% ai detection. My instructor has said she will run our thesis through turnitin and it'll most likely detect ai because copyleaks is too. Zerogpt and gptzero are also giving ai detection, whereas the other above-mentioned 3 are not. What should i do? Which one should i believe?

Hi! I have a dilemma with CopyLeaks. When I paste just one paragraph from a two-paragraph text, it detects it as written by AI with a 67% match. However, when I paste both paragraphs together, it shows that it is written by "Human" Why do you think this is happening?

A rule of thumb with AI detection is the longer the output the more likely it will get scored as human. That is true for all of the AI detectors that I have tested.

Hey Andreas! 1) No, the Turnitin's algo is pretty ordinary 2) Winston is by far the hardest to beat. If you've beaten Winston, than you'll be ok with Turnutin. 3) I have switched over from Copyleaks to ZeroGPT. Check the latest version of the tool.

I wrote an essay and I put it into copyleaks and it says it's Human text but it doesn't show a percentage because I only have the basic version. I also put my work into other ai detection websites such as Winston where I got an 80% Human, ZeroGPT where I got a 6.86% ai, and Content at Scale which I got passes as Human, although it was very annoying to use because I had to parts of my essay at a time. The only problem I found is with Crossplag where I got 90% ai written, even though I wrote it myself. Since my school uses Turnitin, should I be okay or should I try and rewrite it?

Undetectable AI said it was 100% human but Copyleaks gave me an 80% score so which would be considered accurate. I did use ai for some paragraphs but I paraphrased. So not sure if i should change everything now?

you can only check the AI score of Turnitin through Turnitin itself. Also, plagiarism and AI % are different things.

What was the length of your paper? Anything under 1000 words can get flagged as ai, even if it’s not.

If I pass copyleaks with 40%-50% ai detection with being Human text, then will it be flagged as human text 100% by turnitin? I have turnitin access as a student from a university but I don’t know how to use drafts links to submit and check. If My text is detected 100% human by contentscale but same text is detected as ai text by 70-80% by copyleaks. Will this text be detected as ai text by turnitin?

The higher the score with Copyleaks the better. 70-80% human score will usually equate to 0% AI in Turnitin.
