➤ How does the Zeen work And What are its main features?
The Zeen is essentially a big comfortable saddle with four agile wheels in its base. Once you set up the device, according to your inseam length and weight, the saddle will effortlessly raise you up to standing, walking, and ‘barstool’ position, or gently drop down to become a comfortable chair.
Zeen is very easy to control - it only has a Seat-Height Lock and Brakes. You can stand, or walk putting all your weight on the ground, and the seat belt and the saddle-prow will still keep you safe. Leaning back slightly and edging onto the wide part of the saddle allows you to scoot easily over the ground and coast. Your stride directs the Zeen where you want to go and, with no conscious effort, the chassis swivels and follows!
When coasting, one can also steer by applying either the left or right brake to influence your direction, or use both to stop completely.

    I’m 74 and if ever I’m required to sell my motorcycle and grab a chair this’ll be my preference. If the craftsmanship and engineering are as good as the concept this is a success. And it’s in the right colors too 🤠

    How much exactly is “a great deal” of the lifting? I need something that would pretty much lift me.

    What about a curb? There are so many places (especially older areas) that are not ADA compliant. How is the Zeen used getting off or on a curb?

    This looks great for someone who fears falling backwards. Severe peripheral neuropathy causes people to lose all feeling in the feet and therefore no balance even though the leg strength is there. What a great idea!

    Thanks! Yes - the Zeen can help to provide stability and help to prevent falling in all directions. Losing sensation in the feet and legs is very challenging and the Zeen can help provide more confidence for these individuals and many others!

    It looks good. in practice I fear that it is too complicated to climb even slightly inclined slopes. And there are ramps everywhere I live and where I work but it takes a lot of strength to get them up in a wheelchair with my arms, too bad there's no extra system to help propel yourself to the both with the legs and with the arms.

    Thanks for the comment Léo! Slopes do present a bit of a challenge with the Zeen, but they are manageable. For a slope that is “to code” (1” rise for every 12” run), the Zeen performs well. Steeper slopes are more challenging. For the individual who can stand and walk without the support of the Zeen, we recommend getting off the device and pushing it up a slope. We know this isn’t ideal and not possible for many. We will be working to offer an electric assist in the future. We see this being similar to electric bicycles where the user will still be propelling with their legs and getting a “boost” from a small motor. Thanks again for the comment! Please connect with us via our website - gozeen.com - if you haven’t already.

  • @go_zeen

    @go_zeen

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi! Thanks for asking! The Zeen provides lifting assist via a pair of gas springs under the seat. We can lift individuals between 100-250 pounds with the current model - there are 5 lift settings which we set based upon the individual's weight. We plan to help people both below and above our current weight range with future models of the Zeen.

    Hi! Thanks for asking! The standard Zeen retails for $3800, the one-hand control model for $4280 (this would be for individuals who do not have the ability to squeeze with moderate force with both hands). Please check out our website: gozeen.com for more information!

    When walking with zeen, which muscles used the most quads or hams? Have multiple sclerosis

  • @go_zeen

    @go_zeen

    Жыл бұрын

    @@mbl36hi! It really depends on your position on the Zeen. When at a full standing height, a Zeener is using hip flexors, quads, hamstrings and glutes relatively similar to walking without a device. When at a lower height, hamstrings are doing more of the work to propel forward - similar to "walking" in a wheelchair. Please reach out to us at info@gozeen.com to connect with a Zeen team member or schedule a zoom call to more thoroughly answer your questions.

    There are push handles to allow someone to be safely pushed in a Zeen as well! Our primary intention is to maintain standing and walking for the Zeener, but they can certainly be assisted as needed.

    What's to prevent one from flying forward on their face? I hate it when healthy people show hoe some device is used. Bring in the actual sufferer.
