How To Use the Uline S-107 Strapping Kit, First Look Product Review

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Here at Apple Valley Farm, we ship a LOT of loose pallet boards. Well..."loose" is what we need to avoid. :) We have to have a way to bundle them up tightly for shipment. So instead of continuing to use miles and miles of plastic shrink wrap, we decided to grab one of Uline's plastic strapping kits.
Join us here as we take our first look at how to use the S-107 kit, as well as the additional Tightener/Cutter (model H-348).
I our opinion, well worth the purchase price of about $50 for the kit, but not so much for the extra tightening tool. Easy to use. Vague instructions. But overall, well-pleased. I'd give it a solid 7 (maybe an 8) out of 10.
Thanks for watching with us, and I hope this helps you if you're considering one for yourself, or if you just need a quick tutorial on how to use it. As always, feel free to comment your questions if you have them.

Very helpful with how to use the tool. I saved a lot of strapping by leaving the one end attached to the box until I had it tight, and then cut it from the box.

The red handle plier/tensioning tool definitely seems like a bonk at $56!

@@AppleValleyFarmGA The reason I was searching for a video on it is because I have to pull it out and try it again this morning. Hope my bundle makes it to Nashville in one piece 😆

You didn’t even use the tool it came with.. that’s all I’m after. On to the next video 🤷🏻‍♂️ (40 minutes later) ok, I figured out how to use it. Does require more slack than I had on my first try. But!! I found an even easier way that requires almost no effort. I used a ratchet strap to tighten everything down, pull the two sides by hand and release the ratchet strap. Absolutely no movement and sounds like a High E on a guitar. 👍🏽

Thanks for the comment. Yeah, I wasn't fan of that little tool. :) So you used a "ratchet strap" to tighten everything? Is that different from the toll that came with the kit...?

Apple Valley Farm I had to bundle 3” pvc pipe. I used a standard ratchet strap like the ones used to hold stuff down in the truck of a bed or trailer. Just a little tension held the pvc nice and tight. Then I just pulled the uline strapping by hand.
