For someone coming from a 2013 picanto onto a 2021 clio next week, I find this built in sat nav to be a great idea. Really impressed. I realise alot of newer cars have the touch screen and likely a Sat nav, still pretty impressed. 😂

Yeah, I think the mapdata is from 2013 so I use my tomtom which has lifetime free updates and shows live traffic infornation thru a Bluetooth connection with my phone.

I don't find the MediaNav easy or very user friendly. As has already been mentioned on this thread, you can't put a full post code in on the 2014 Captur I drive, which renders it useless for addresses that do not fall in to the usual category of town, street etc! Just tried to put a country address in and can't get it anywhere even close, had no trouble with the TomTom system in the last Megane. It's taken me months to work out how to turn up the volume on it as well.

Doesn’t work as I’ve already stated, with rural areas that don’t have defined streets and numbers @@brianrogers-uc2hb. Renault would probably suggest buying their update, I’m old school and I have a paper map, a brain in my head and speech, so the problem is not insurmountable. The system has taken me on some very interesting journeys in the past and to be honest I only turn it on to have a laugh! 😉

Make sure you enter the space in the middle...

I have a problem with my 2014 renault clio, when i start the car all of the lights show up and it fails to start. i have done many jumpstarts but now jumpstarting dosent work, what does it mean when all the lights come on on the speedometer and traction control stays on? usually when i start all of the lights will come off and traction control will dissapear.

Can someone tell me EXACTLY how to save a location where you are at 'present'. Meaning when I go somewhere new at random and I want to save that location how do I do it. I find sometimes I can do it real easily and then another time the option is unavailable and I just cannot save location.

Go to options, tap 'Where am I' then save that as a favourite, not sure if its the same on all of them but it works on my 2014 Clio and my Garmin sat nav as well so I don't see why it shouldn't work for you. Hope this helps, my prob is I can't turn off the damn radio without turning off the sat nav as well lol.

When we are using the sat Nav and the radio is on, when the Sat Nav 'talks' to us to give directional information, it seems to cut off the radio sound however we cannot hear the Sat Nav voice. How do we get it so we can hear the sat nav verbal instructions (with the radio on)? We have turned up the volume but the radio is loud and the Sat Nav voice is barely audible. Any advice will be appreciated. BTW, this is a 2013 Captur purchased used

When trying to enter the postcode, follow the instructions the woman gives in the video - EXCEPT - you will read 'Town - or Postcode' in the instructions. THAT'S where you enter the postcode Took me two years to find that one out and someone showed me how to do it!

Hi Karen, if you have concerns about your car radio working intermittently, we'd recommend contacting your Renault dealer and you can find them here bit.ly/39G6HAC They are best placed to address any technical questions and can book your car in if they need to take a closer look. If you have an adjustable steering wheel, there will be a lever underneath it to move it up and down. Please refer to your handbook which will show you how this is done. Thanks.

She didn't miss it. Look at 0:56 and you will see that instead of typing in a street name you can input the letters of the post code and first number then it brings up the street alternatives and you select the one you want. If you were paying attention you would have spotted that!!

Hi Deborah, you’ll need to check your volume is not muted or increase it, so that you can hear the guidance instructions. When you are in map settings, please check the speaker is not crossed out as this means the volume has been turned off. Hi Deborah, there is currently no way to turn off the radio whilst using the MediaNav device, however, you can either decrease the volume to the lowest level or you can use a USB stick with music content and plug it into the MediaNav and pause the music. This will effectively stop the radio from working while still hearing the navigation aid. I use full postcodes to locate areas that don't have street names, I don't seem to be able to input a full postcode, why is this?

I can get the sat nav to work no problem but when I have reached my destination I can't get it to switch off so when I set off again it tries to take me back to the original destination....... very annoying as I am missing my radio!!!!.. any ideas folk?

Why can't you just enter a full postcode? I've tried putting a space in - doesn't make any difference. First sat nav I've ever come across were you can't do this.

At 54 seconds she CLEARLY says "alternatively you can enter a postcode". Maybe a trip to specsavers is in order; they also do hearing checks.

I know I shouldn't say this, BUT SHE IS JUST LOVELY...SOOOO PRETTY!!

When I try to use this it limits the numbers and letters I can put in, making it useless.

My 2019 Koleos only take the first three postcode digits and you are then forced to guess the streetname. Its fucking shit.
