Very useful❤️

Thank you for your video. How to use prepositions is a difficult theme for me, Japanese person. Certainly, I think we can say "in the morning" or "in the afternoon" etc... But why "at" is usable for night only? Any different between "in the night" and "at night"? Your answer would be appreciated.😊

We use at night instead of in the night because at is used to indicate a specific time or point in time, while in is used to indicate a period of time. For example, at night means during the nighttime hours, while in the night means during a specific night. Here are some examples: I like to go for walks at night. The stars shine at night. At night is more commonly used than in the night, but in the night can be used to emphasize a specific night or to describe an event that happened during a specific night. You can see some examples where in the night would be more appropriate: I heard a noise in the night, but I couldn't see anything. I had a dream in the night of my grandmother.

@studenglish Thank you for your answer. I understand well. Sometimes, I use wrong prepositions. For example, ○ Sun rises in the east.. ✕ Sun rises from the east.. etc... So, I would like to take a lessen regarding prepositions someday. Best regards.

I love your videos, I used to see them at night. A couple of questions: is correct the expression "at the lunch"? And could you explain when the preposition are used at the end of a sentence? For instance, "Where you come from". I've seen some sentences like this one, but I don´t exactly know when or how to use it. Regards from Colombia!
great

The preposition 'at' is used when referring to buildings as locations in a city. This can be confused with the preposition 'in'. Generally, 'in' is used with buildings to mean that something occurs inside the building. 'At', on the other hand, is used to express that something happens at the location.for examle Let's meet at the bank on the corner of Smith and 14th ave. Tom works at the hospital on the south side of town.
