My guess would be that Microsoft already has Copilot as an app on Windows, whereas Mac users don't have anything native (plenty of third-party options as others have pointed out though).

People want apps, and companies can build apps using the OpenAI API. It's typically cheaper via API than the $20/mo - maybe even with markup. Of course, the current apps likely run the old models, and might not have all the features of the new ChatGPT app.

Hey Matt! Just a FYI but your Gate settings are a little too aggressive, that's why it's cutting off the beginning and end of some of your words. Either making the attack a bit slower or just upping the threshold should help your clarity. Love the vid!

Hey Matt, you should warn the new voice users that if the data goes over the token limit, chatgpt has a glitch that doesn't truncate the over-the-limit instance of the chat, doesn't allow you to regenerate then says, "start a new chat"....which means you can only take parts of that chat and retrain a new chat...

I think being able to watch your desktop and watch you explain what you want to do is where this will really take off.

At 5:17 when you asked about Matt Wolfe, she talked about ‘your content…’ as if she recognized your voice!

No it’s from ChatGPT’s memory since Matt was signed in to his own account. Guarantee he’s had previous chats that are saved talking about his KZread channel and what not, which would update the memory. Send a message about something you like or goal you have or info about yourself, and you’ll see a “memory updated” thing at the top of ChatGPT’s response right click on that and everything that is in ChatGPT’s memory for you as a user is stored there. Idk if it’s included with free version or not since I’ve always paid for the plus and just noticed this feature recently

It's not available to all yet, I have a Mac M1 and the option is not there and if I get the app from the download option others get the app tells me it's not available to me yet

Hi Matt all the features you just showed in this desktop have been available in Microsoft's copilot which you can actually do right on the operating system if you have the new beta version but I've seen these options for at least six weeks including the screen capture I was curious I never hear you say very much about copilot is there something I'm missing thanks have a nice day

​@@SeanTube2099 No, Copilot doesn't act the same as ChatGPT. Copilot is more shopping-oriented. If you give Copilot a concrete noun, it will often think you're trying to shop for it, and give you links to e-tailers. I agree with the OP that Matt doesn't cover Copilot nearly enough as he should.

If I'm going to Monday morning quarterback this, I'm going to say the mac app ecosystem is a little more locked down, and if you're trying to provide a smooth experience for new users by ramping up gradually, mac is a nice smaller pond where you have more hope of slowing down rollout and proliferation of exploits.

How is this better than just opening a browser window and clicking one button? The app doesn't let you download/use Chatgpt locally without internet so it what's the point?

I really like using GPT to help me translate something that I need. But it is expensive for me. So now I choose to use Immersive Translate that is cheaper than GPT to help me translate what I need.

Will this come to Windows?

Maybe those features could be coming with a full OpenAI/apple launch for the new iOS?

I'm on a Macbook Pro M3, but it doesn't show for me using the free version. I did a search, found a link to download in the Open AI forum. Downloaded it, installed, it opened and said I don't have access to it yet. Patience is my friend.

Another issue. It only works for plus members. Not even for the higher cost Team members. Could be awhile for windows version release. Microsoft clearly wants Copilot to become the default Windows OS AI assistant.

I got the download link, installed, logged in, only to be greeted with "You don't have access to this app yet". OpenAI could've told me before presenting a download link?

I have windows, An got GPT downloaded on my PC and I just got ChatGPT 4o yesterday. It some what Works By that it just doesn't talk back even when you press the bottom to read out load. You can put pic and it will tell what it is .. and all this is on the free version.

@@chaosjacky I don't know how to find it but I remember an official open ai statement somewhere on their website that said that. Also on the free version GPT 4o has like barely any uses and a really low message limit and plus has up to 5x higher use
