I’m so happy for you🎉🎉🎉 this is a common problem. I have experimented many times and usually you can get yourself out of it by holding the key out by one chamber, because either you made the mistake or the homeowner did thank you for telling me about your experience. It truly is a happy thing to have such a little workaround, save the day🎉🎉

PS watch my new series which involves the lishi picks for the United States I just ordered a Schlage padlock and C123 cylinder and and S123 cylinder in Schlage Everest. can’t wait to show you guys how that all turns out with a Schlage padlock involving these two cylinders lishi will get right through them. Help! I bought the cradle and rekeyed 8 door locks successfully (sitting at my table) BUT I then installed 2 of those locks on houses in the field and when I tried to rekey them again to match the existing house keys, the reset tool didn't work. Normally pushing the tool in causes a click but nothing budges now. What did I do wrong?

Where did you get that aftermarket Kwikset reset key tool with the red handle?

They don’t make that bad boy anymore. I’ve been asked that question in the past there is no more unless you go to your Locksmith supply house and they’ve got an old black one laying around and that handle that little push apparatus with the red head on it will be in the box with an old unit tell me if you find it there’s got to be some of them floating around still for sale. I bought mine from Wesco used to be called Anixter and then before that Clarke.

Where did you buy the tool? all the ones I see don't have the t-handle relearn tool with it.

I just checked around. I can’t find it anywhere anymore. It came about five years ago from Anixter now Wesco You’d have to call around to see if someone had an old reset tool in Black have them open the box and find out if they have that big old red T handle in the box other than that I don’t know what to tell you the little ones just as valuable maybe even better Because you can put it on your keychain

I’m thinking you put the cylinder in the cradle upside down the keyway upside down and when you went to reset it with the cradle, it crunches the fingers into it maybe
