Is it best for a newborns arms to be tucked in rather than through the arm holes?

Yes absolutely! Newborns tend to want access to their hands.
What about if baby wakes and you need to breastfeed can you adjust it to feed them?

The BabyBjorn's are notoriously difficult to feed in, due to the internal harness. You can try loosening off/undoing one side & slide the baby on to their side. You won't be "hands free feeding" until baby is old enough to latch on & off by themselves.
Hay, Iv been given this sling, my baby is 6 months now and unless very tiered hes works out how to wriggle out of position from his fabric wrap sling,…. I saw you mentioned that this is only good for up till 3 months old and I’m going out to London for the day in a few days time and now worried about wearing him in this sling! Could you help please? Is there any better way to wear your baby in this sling at 6 months that will be comfortable for the both of us please x

Sorry, I didn’t see this before now. Google the “scarf hack” for the BabyBjorn. Getting a scarf under your baby’s bottom & using it to get their knees up, will help to distribute their weight more effectively around you torso & make them feel a little lighter. As long as you can tick all of the safety boxes mentioned in the video (TICKS) then the baby will be fine, it’s just that as they get bigger the carrying adult becomes uncomfortable in this carrier.
When you say big baby what weight would you suggest is too big ?

If you are ticking all of your safety boxes, then you’re fine as long as you are comfortable. This carrier will be uncomfortable long before it’s unsafe. Once you start to feel like it’s not comfortable for you, pop along to your closest sling library to look at some alternative options.
