a respiratory therapist gave this to me when I was in the hospital for 6 days last week and OMG it works great ! it's breaking up the phelgm big time and my cough is now productive ! coughing up all that toxic phelghm now. my RT told me to use it 10-12x after every breathing treatments ! works great $ 25 on e bay !

I had spinal surgery March 15th I was hit by a F350 while walking. Surgeons went in through my neck to remove 2 broken vertebraes and fussed together my 4th and 5th disk. They give me this device to use I can only imagine or think because of the blood in airways after surgery. I'm unsure what the device costs because insurance paid for it. 25.00 seems like a great deal the device is effective and works well.

What Number setting should i use on the aerobika machine with the nebulizer machine or does it not matter since im using the breathe actuate mode on my nebulizer machine.

Pretty simple, he can watch the video. The Doctor said this would help clear phlegm. It also shows nebulizer that need to give him with medicine.

Does this give benefits if you don't have any issues

My dad started using it recently but for the entire day he was coughing and got exhausted... Not sure how do we stop the cough now.. can anyone help

Can I clean this equipment in Milton Tablets(sterilizing tablets )with cold water once a week to disinfect ?

Thank you for your question. Yes, Milton tablets can be used to clean the Aerobika* device. Please follow the manufacturer's instructions for how to use/dilute the Milton tablets.

Is this the same as flutter valve?

I never seem to have any phflem. the doctors do not seem concerned. i am very severe stage 4 for eleven years now. I only see the pulm doc every six months and have not asked about his. Nor have i read when anyone else seems to have no mucus. Please let know what your thoughts are . thank you

medicines like those must be nebulized by using a "nebulizer" machine -it's a different device and they can be used in tandem if desired

That would depend on how bad your symptoms are. If you have Cystic Fibrosis, I doubt that it could take the place of a vest. But, again, it would be attributed to how bad your secretion issue is.

Can my 6 yo use it?

my son was in a medical facility for a long time and used this device. He was to take a deep breath, put his mouth over the device and blow out. not according to instructions. i called their attention to this but no change. my sister is in a different facility and given the same instructions. What is correct and why do they do it incorrectly?

does your inhalation have to be through the device or can you inhale through your nose and exhale through the device?

Is there any mechanical or physical reason that your advice is to breath in through the device? The Aerobika has been a life changer for me, but I do want to understand this. Thanks.
