How To Use Temporary Tattoos On Polymer Clay, With Extra Ideas!
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Inexpensive temporary tattoos make good embellishments on polymer clay! I've used them in this tutorial, with a little twist, or two, of my own.

I just ran across this today! What a great idea! I've been using polymer clay for 14 years and I'm still finding out new things about it! Great video! Thanks!
Another product full of possibilities! Love the addition of a mica ombré and a bit of texture.
You are a proper artist. I love your art.👍⭐
I was thinking if it was possible with papermache clay and then decided to pop it into KZread and here I am :)

Very interesting!
That’s cool. Val 👍
Super idea!! I would use resin to seal it. I am little over the moon with using resin especially as a sealer. :) Also I always have some on hand so that's helpful. :P - Heidi
Guau! Thanks
Wonderful idea of Debbie's, and I love your "twist" too! I look forward to giving this a try. I can see how it would be very useful for jewellery, but do you think this technique would be good for covering perhaps a jar or bottle? It would be tricky to find something to lay over it as it cools. Any ideas please? I believe you said they were available at Claire's accessories? Temporary tattoos of any kind would work the same I assume? I didn't have a chance to do this with Debbie.

You could well try it without resting something on it - as long as it was OK for it to potentially be a bit lumpy. I did some and they looked OK. My idea for this, if not as jewellery, would be tiles - to decorate frames, or boxes, or books. :) xx

I have several boxes ready and waiting - great idea! Hmmm, tiles...I still have Inchie nightmares!!! lol Thanks for advice. I find it good to refer back to your videos just before attempting a replication. Clay day tomorrow!! :-) xx
This is so neat! Have you tried this with non-metallic temporary tattoos? I think I have some old Hello Kitty ones lying about, that I'd like to use. I know I have some HK nail decals...hmm...

I haven't but I've seen others make them work. xx
Hey, how did you seal the clay after baking it?
As a complete polymer clay newbie, how do you bake and how do you prep without a pasta maker? Thank you.

Bake according to the package the clay came in (it varies). I bake on a ceramic tile but you can use a baking tray (not one you use for food). You can roll out clay using strips of cereal packet each side, under a dedicated rolling pin. More layers of strips = thicker clay. That method keeps the thickness even. xx
Wonder if you can put the mica powder on first.. so it shows under the tattoos.

it might not stick to the mica

I agree with Beetique that it might stop it sticking - but it's always worth experimenting, if you have some spare stuff. xx
I've tried this and after baking the tattoo cracks and looks distressed. How do I avoid cravking?

If you watch from around 3 mins 25, I describe how and when to lay a tile on top. That's the only thing I can think of and you may have missed it.

@@UnrulyHousewife actually the items come out of the oven cracking. So applying the tile would be moot at that point. But thank you

Ah... That's annoying. I wish I could help but that has me stumped. Sorry. xx
so you do it when the clay's still wet??
@UnrulyHousewife

If you mean before baking it, yes. The "clay" is essentially plastic, so you can play around with it quite a bit, before you bake it. Just be gentle with it.
Can I do on paper clay as well?

I have no experience of it but experiment on something that isn't too precious. xx
You are hilarious! :0
I am very confused about your channel. Do you only do videos so infrequently or am I missing them? They only come months apart.

I have a lot of videos already uploaded but now I tend to update infrequently. I have always been a bit random with my content too. That said, I try to be entertaining and I interact a lot. My husband is convinced I have ADHD... I am starting to agree.

@@UnrulyHousewifeReally appreciate the timely reply. I love your channel and the randomness . What about the doll’s house?
Probably a daft question but the tattoos looked black in the video and you used black clay....is it just my phone or was the tattoo actually gold to begin with?! 🙄

Gold... :)
