Loved this interview. Something new that is helping me is to imagine that all of time exists at once, yet time is linear at the same time. This is helping me see just how important yet insignificant everything is at the same time and is helping me to value each moment.

My two favorite contemporary thinkers and impact theorists!! I'm very happy to have discovered Ryan Holiday and Tom Bilyeu. I honestly didn't think there were people our age (our generation, I'm 41) that were into these topics that I always found fascinating since a child. Keep up the good work and hope the next generation absorbs some of this wisdom because there's a lot of unenlightening content out there.

Sometimes I get a feeling in my chest, and then look for something wrong, other times my thinking spins out of control and leads to anxiety and depression.. it's like the anger mentioned, how do you stop the anger and pull back to prevent from spiraling?

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EXPRESSING MY EXACT THOUGHTS & for expressing them with the SAME URGENCY & FRUSTRATION that I’m feeling regarding people I love so much, who are stuck & can’t seem to move past patterns that keep them disempowered, and continue to just add more pain to their lives and those around them. My youngest sister struggles so much with PTSD from significant early childhood loss and multiple traumas. She has lived with us off & on since she was 11. It has been absolutely hellacious and exhausting at times! Right now is another one of those times and it seems there’s no place to set down the load for even a little awhile & catch our breaths & get a break. We have a 14-year-old daughter so the dynamics feel almost unbearable sometimes. Videos & new insight like this help fuel my own continued growth & development, and literally help me keep going!!

1:34:45 "Think about that thing that makes you really angry, or that thing that makes you really sad, or that thing that really makes you feel like a piece of shit. How old is that feeling--not how old is it in your life, but like what age would you ascribe to that feeling ..." ... What a mental/psychological jewel! This can literally help you grow out of your childhood and earlier insecurities that absolutely have no standing in your current life--and can sometimes be even completely the opposite to what you should actually be feeling. What an eloquent and simple way of delivering such a powerful introspective tip!

Among all the 'motivation-related' cocktail I've listened to so far that is close to my experience, it is this 'negative energy' (anger, proving something with vengefulness, defeat/dominate someone over something I've decided to) that pushes me to great heights and achieve me great things. Its really unpleasant and i dont like it coz it breeds/projects to further similar energy and thus a vicious cycle and misery. Im frustrated to myself on this, but it works for me so far on this aspect. Im trying to learn and synthesize to transform this is to a more 'positive' energy. What I was able to come up with is to grow over these past frustrations and move forward to a more altruistic visions that I could align my revamped objectives. I confess that Im a Christian, but with this nature in me, it really saddens me, and I always pray for God's guidance and wisdom to work over me in this struggle and journey.

I agree that being in a family or in relationships enriches your insights into life. Ideally, you and your partner can provide one another with some free time each day when you can concentrate on your work uninterrupted. That would be a practical thing to do. Also remember that the time when kids are small and need lots of attention is a few years. Then they go off to school and you get more uninterrupted time. You may write more interesting books as a result of the rich complexity of family life.

I set my goals high, so high that many people around me don't believe I'll ever achieve them. And they'll ask me if I actually think I'm capable. I tell then no. It's not me, I'm just the observer. I'm not attached to the outcome. But, it gives me something to shoot for. It gives me a journey and direction. It gives me motivation for today. The reason I set them so high is because I also know that if I were to achieve them all that eventually I would still have to ask, what's next?.

I am so fucking happy to hear Tom say things about just using the word "quantum" just randomly, and be aware of the dangers of BS. When I first listened to IT and it had Joe Dispenza, I almost misclassified most of the content as B.S. Took me a while to actually realize that both Tom and Joe Dispenza have the best of intentions and are using what they know to help. And I am more than happy to have listened to all the content, since it contains so many valuable life lessons.

Using stillness, such as through mindfulness practices or meditation, can help individuals to cultivate a sense of inner calm, focus, and clarity, which can improve their ability to make thoughtful decisions, develop creative ideas, and maintain a sense of perspective in the face of challenges. By incorporating stillness into their daily routines, individuals can cultivate a more peaceful and fulfilling life, and achieve greatness through a balanced approach to work and personal well-being.

re. dad tomb stone, I was homeless for a long time, while my dad watched as a guardian angel, and my heavenly father. I walked at this park and found a pink feather (not bird). It meant so much to me. I found later that when you find a feather and angel is nearby and I knew it! Since then I've found an orange one. I have another story about a Buck deer crossing my path. When we are down and out, the spiritual gifts are heightened and even better than material.

Some thoughts about wanting to help a family member who is stuck in their unproductive patterns (at about 1:45-1:48) and seeing more for them or wanting to crack the code. What has worked for me is to release my own resistance to their choices. (What is bound on earth is bound in heaven) is the reminder I need. My desire to change them only strengthens their desire to stay locked in. The real lesson for any of us is personal. What is this person here to teach me? Sometimes the lesson is trusting the Divine, or letting go of the need for the other to “get it.” Willingness is the fulcrum point of change. Someone has to be willing to shift first. When you shift your attachments to their story you release the binding. Very often with the letting go, the other magically finds their way.

Thank you, I have been struggling in my 30’s as to if I want to have a child or not and this video made me aware of the answer I have been looking for. I want to have a child so that it has the ability to experience and create greatness in life. Good talk Gentlemen~ it’s nice to feel like I’m listening to friends being candid. Moreover in a society that can’t sit still and gets off on the misfortune of “multi tasking” whose to say “laying on the couch” isn’t another form of resting and or self preservation? U can be busy and still BE wasting your life. Perhaps dying is more “of the flesh” than of the spirit. I like to think enlightened minds transcend time.

Tom you have the natural difference,in you being you, love the consistency of you constantly growing, and your incrdebly specific layer peel back!!!!!!!!! you leave no stone unturned , Get clear when your not, and your ability to be vounerable and ask and not pretend to get it.. i'm a 53 year old mom of 2 who grew up in a shit divorce when I was 3 and then a shit divorce when my youngest was 3, by an unfaithful dad, sum total? awesomness ive become exactly the mother any kid would have wanted, at least from my lenses, and knew from my own experience, there would be no Step Father, long story short, they are both in college daughter getting a freeking Phd in math, the reason I share, Is Tom like, you ive been facinated by the human condition and collected my experiences and put them in a book called How to LOve your kids more than you dislike your ex, and I would love to meet your wife and be on your show.. When the book is done? what do you think? I'll send you a copy and it's a quick read, how has time in a divorcee? I,m still healing my childhood wounds, my Father hid us from my mother for years I have a "i need my mommy" issue, that pops up needless to say i should have a Phd. in phycology, because all ive done is read to figure out the brain, and cosmetology for 30 years so ive got stories about people. in 53 years i have had fun and been to hell in a laundry basket and back from illness with support of amazing friends and deep learning about yourself on a sailboat 35 feet long for five months. I am a super Fan, starting a pod cast, I know nothing about because of you, it's called voices of magic where I explore the things you can feel but can't see. pretty cool right, had to invent a new life to deal with the real thing called the empty nest deal it's called 4 years of grief, then pick up your shit and become a unicorn. i enrolled in school and learning in Jan so excited to find my own passion in helping others..... the best day at work...... when i make a new sparkliy connection Thanks for being true to you,,,,, do yourself a favor.. don't change who you are, the set is cool but stay you dude and that adorable wife of yours with your brittish accent you anticipated before she arrived. you guys rock and now I have hope that I can find my other unicorn forgive the shit spelling if you can read it, does it really matter?

This is so very true‼️‼️‼️ When I was 9-10 years old I had Doctors telling my dear mom that I will be crippled by the age of 40 cause I had severe pains in my wrist. My response was No I won’t ! It turns out I had growing pains cause I was tall for my age and they mistook my pains for rheumatism. Lol. Doctors don’t always know what they are talking about and I’m so glad I had the six science knowing better then to believe nonsense. I’m after 50 now and it’s all about nutrition and exercise.

Great talk. It's great to get to know you guys in this more natural and less prepared way. What I wanted to say is that "Umwelt" means exactly the same as environment. Could be environment in like global warming or environment in the things around you but it's not about perspective.

You can do multiple things at the same time IF you prefer doing so and get more results. With all the respect I have for Tom he's saying this because that's the way HE behaves, maybe that's not yours. When you hear a advise please take it as it is. And build YOURS ON TOP OF IT. That's how you'll get incredible results! Much love ❤️

I wish I could talk to Ryan Holiday! I haven't met anyone as fine-tuned on the awareness of death as I am. I love that he has a tombstone as a reminder to be present, that's really neat. Man I enjoyed this! I believe Momento Mori is the most important message to be aware of & I use it in my own life too. I love talking about death, it gives us many lessons about life in itself.
