How To: Use Smart/Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go | Hyundai Vehicles

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video I show you how to use Smart Cruise Control with stop and go (SCC) in your Hyundai vehicle. Smart or Adaptive cruise control makes driving much easier in many scenarios where the speed or conditions are variable. With the stop and go feature, the car can come to a complete stop behind another slowing vehicle (Not an already stopped vehicle) to increase driver convenience. If you have any questions leave them down in the comment section below.

Glad I found this one. I love your help with the Hyundai technology features. If I have missed it, I apologize. Will you explain the difference between Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Following Assist? My Mom just bought a 2023 Santa Fe Calligraphy and she is relying on me for how to drive it and use the features. The manual is a little tough to get clear direction on what these features can do for you and how they differ. They seem super similar to me.

Lane Follow Assist is a more advanced or better version of Lane Keeping Assist. LKA will actively assist once you are at the line and steer you back into the lane but not as precisely. LFA will keep you mostly centered in the lane and I believe can also follow another vehicle if in range for a short period of time if not lane markers are found. I guess you could say one is more of a safety system and one is more driver assistance if that makes sense. Here is a good website explaining them: tech.hyundaimotorgroup.com/mobility-device/autonomous/

@@CarsMadeSimple I like that description, one is more safety and one is more driver assistance. Thanks!

Great video!! When I put it on cruise control and click the toggle switch up to increase speed it keeps going up and up it doesn't stop. So if I'm driving at 60 and flip the switch up it just goes from 60 to 65 to 70 doesn't stop and I don't know how t stop it. Any suggestions?

Apparently depressing the cruise control button once sets the speed but depressing it for a longer period provides an additional service but I cannot find out what that does.

I haven't tried this yet but I understood that it would resume in stop/start conditions? Maybe not.

  • @CarsMadeSimple

Yes it will resume by tapping the accelerator or pressing up (or down) on the cruise control buttons.

@@CarsMadeSimple what I meant was that I understood that it would automatically stop-then start again without intervention. Perfect in all-star traffic.

@@lharris828 No, after it comes to a complete stop for more than 2-3 seconds you will have to do one of the items I mentioned above to resume.
