How To Use Shoe Goo: Preventing Wear & Tear
Спорт
SHOP HERE: www.skatewarehouse.com/?...
Adam Ottenberg demonstrates how to properly apply Shoe Goo to extend the life of your skate shoes and prevent further wear. Shoe Goo is available in Clear or Black and can always be found at Skate Warehouse!
Once you begin to see wear in the key flick areas of your skate shoes, take these simple steps breathe some life back into them with DIY shoe repair:
(1) Make sure the affected area is dry and free of dirt.
(2) Remove the cap from your Shoe Goo, puncture the seal with a key or screwdriver.
(3) Apply a dab of shoe goo on either side of the affected area.
(4) Using a wetted finger, gently smooth out the Shoe Goo to create an even coat across the worn-out area.
(5) Allow the Shoe Goo to dry for at least 24 hours before using your shoes again.
(6) They're alive! GO SKATE.

is much easier if you use an ice cube to spread the shoe go and it will not stick at all to the ice
@bazejm187

what it can improve? i mean with water it spreads and dry easily?
From now on I'll only buy the smaller size tubes of shoe goo...but I have a 3.7 oz tube that I've had for a long time now, and it's so dried out. I wonder if using water with it will even help it spread. :(
Shoe goo saved my sessions many times.... Damn I need that stuff
im using vans sk8 pro high tops and there is a partial hole through the shoe what do i do
I always just use an ice cube when put on shoe goo, doesnt get stuck and it lays on smoother than it would just using your finger

this company is only targeting shoes but it's probably better thany any glue out there
The wet finger trick was game changing LOL I have been using popsicle sticks like all the other people suggest and its just messy as heck. A wet finger and you get ZERO stick and it goes on as smooth as glass.
I have some DC Villian slip-ons and the threads busted on the top in shoe opening. Will this shoe goo glue the top part back to the rest of the shoe?

How well will it grip the board when flicking/sliding?
@MegaBoooooooooooooob
8 жыл бұрын
It grips like a regular shoe grips griptape, I don't know how people assume it's just magically gonna be super fucking slippery and won't grip. That is the point of griptape.
i use my old credit cards to get an even layer, i mean id do this too but thats just helps me when it actually starts to tear away.
What shoes
So generally how long would this prolong the life of my shoe?
@SkateWarehouse

It really depends on how often you skate. I would say shoe goo can prolong your shoe's life anywhere from a couple weeks to a couple months.

+TheBestPancakes Well if you use it on the sole and it's a thick layer, it might take a couple of days to harden. It's "moldable" after a couple of hours at least so if you step on it, it might flatten it out some (vs. hold it's shape).

The packaging itself states Shoo Goo contains ingredients that are suspected to cause cancer and kill fish, and you're running your fingers over that stuff like it's no big thing and using it indoors? The only reason I'm looking for videos on how to use this stuff now is because when I bought mine on Amazon the toxicity of it was not mentioned in the product details, or else I'd never have bought it. I really think more people who make videos about this stuff should mention that, but so far none I've found have bothered to do so.
I heard glue also works
Then toe caps came out...
I always used super glue on mine

Um... Adam.
The bad things about Shoe Goo: Firstly, the stuff works great, but the repairs will not last. Secondly, any attempt to repair an object previously repaired with Shoe-Goo will always fail simply because Shoe Goo out of the tube fails to adhere to surfaces coated with fully cured Shoe Goo. Hence, the product alone is a total failure. The solution to the problem is to effect all subsequent repairs by first removing as much of the old, peeling Shoe Goo from the original repair and then fixing the item with HOT GLUE. Hence the rule to remember and always recall: Shoe Goo repairs shoes etc. for a short time, but Shoe Goo can not be used to repair itself, hence by itself Shoe Glue is not a viable product. So start with Shoe Goo and then after that always use Hot Glue from a gun., which is very cheap and available at any local hardware store.
