Hello doc May I ask you a question about my routine. Can use Cosrx 0.5 percent salicylic acid cleanser then every morning then i use salicylic acid serum before moiturizer and sunscreen. Is it safe to do? Or i over use salicylic acid? By the way I have oily skin and acne prone skin.

Hey I have a combination skin mostly oily along the T zone and normal to bit oily on the cheeks.I usually get tiny pustules on my face,mostly at my cheeks and around my nose ,although they are 1 or 2 but they come regularly specially during summers. I tried the derma co hyluronic sunscreen and 10% niacinamide serum for my acne marks which wotked wonders for me in 3 months ,the results were visible but I've heard salicyclic acid is a must for active acne so though of buying derma co 1% salicyclic acid facewash as the derma co products suit me and I'll couple it with ponds gel based moisturiser..although I want to buy neutrogena hydroboost but it is too costly.

for hormonal acne, you will need oral medications as well. only serums won't help. bets to consult a dermatologist once.

Hey doc I’ve started using a salicylic cleanser again as it was previously recommended by my dermatologist for my last acne period and my acne prone combination has starting being problematic again it’s been almost 2 weeks since I’ve been using this cleanser my acne reduced first and after a week I started to get pimples again but not painful ones more like small ones they disappear within 2 days it’s been another week and my acne is gradually decreasing again is it just purging ?

Yes you can . My doctor reccommends one to do so after applying creams containing adapalene or clindamycin
