You can't do trial and error for colours with a sketch. (or not very well in my experience) If going in without a plan intimidates you this video's a pretty good way to plan. Of course, I don't think people will do this everytime they want to draw.

For everyone who doesn’t get it: this allows you to try out different color combinations, refine shapes, figure out shadows, etc. without having to use up the marker paint. It also is much easier to create multiple sketches and make quick changes to them digitally than with a pencil or pen. So yes, it is a helpful video for some people who like that digital to real flow. But if that’s not your process, that’s ok too. :)

@@marvelmolly6598 if you know the basic ones like colour dodge, overlay, colour, add and I think it was multiply? Then you’re good to go, the other ones are rather useless unless in my opinion

A good way to not waste expensive art supplies while you just empty your brain of ideas and see what interests you. Good idea!

It really isn’t. You could make the same exact drawing in 10 minutes without the fancy tracing paper, procreate, and other stuff. It’s just a bunch of unnecessary extra steps.

I love this method since I’m so scared of messing up.

I love the idea . No color wasted plus one gets their illustration made out easily . Kinda hard for people who dont have an ipad doe . I was thinking if you could make these tips and tricks with softwares /apps that are compatible with windows /Android as that would truly help the masses .♡

I feel like you are asking for how can I draw everything without putting in the work, dude there's no shortcut, one video will never teach you that , go on Google and search for what you wanna draw and draw that for 100 times I'm serious, you have to put in the work day in and day out
