Man that killed me I had no clue of the buttons.

Do you have any tutorials on outlining images in photoshop. I’ve tried so many times I just can’t figure layers and masking.

An amazing add-on to an already great tool: PS. No more struggling with Procreate and the likes (however good these apps may be). To have PS on my iPad, right at my finger/pencil tips is a great experience!

Hey Paul, thank you for making this tutorial, super helpful for people who have used desktop versions before and we looking for the iPad version as an extra tool. I noticed that when you are using the Quick Select tool for the turtle, and you click on ... to find Select Similar (around minute 1:52), there is also an option at the top called Refine Edge. I’ve been using the latest version of the app on a new iPad Pro, and cannot find this tool in that same menu. Do you know if this has been moved or removed completely? If you have any info about this, I’d appreciate it!

Is it worth having it on iPad alone? What will I be missing if I don’t have Photoshop on my iMac? Debating between the 2. I am not a photographer, but I do a lot of artwork editing. I use procreate a lot. Photoshop is highly recommended. Thx.

The defacto would be Ps on desktop. It really allows you to do anything and everything. Ps on iPad isn't fully featured yet. But with a Ps subscription you get both anyway! So you can start on the ipad and finish on the desktop if you want.

I don't know why, but in photoshop (iPad) it doesn't show any of the layer options.. I can't change opacity, etc. Very annoying and I don't know how to fix :( I have the latest updates on everything too.

I can only presume you had multiple art boards and pages in your psd file to have a file that size. I'm not sure if you ever solved this but you could always split the file sizes if you have problems opening them due to size.

I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed by this release. Photoshop for iPad lacks so much. I knew it wasn't going to be full featured when it was released, but I expected more than what we got.

Spyros Heniadis you really do not see anything positive? I am sorry, but I think it is quite great to start image manipulation ( what PS is really for, for painting they rolled Fresco out) on the go. And finish it on the desktop version. And to go from one video to another and just say that everything is bad - that seems to me like bad blood between you and Adobe. When Procreate started, it was only little poor app with not many features. It took them how long to get to this stage? Just my two cents

It will always be better on desktop/laptop as a computer is far more superior. The point of the app is to get you started. Most things can be accomplished on the app you see. Say you were on holiday and only owned a desktop which naturally would stay at home and a client approaches you via email to do some graphic work for them but you're not back for another week. By being able to do most things on the ipad version, you would of just prevented a client from going elsewhere due to the wait. Moral of the story, we should be thankful that Adobe have done this for us.

Thanks guys, I did eventually end up trying it out on a desktop and yes it was much better. Just took me time to learn and even then I still have soo much to learn haha

The easiest way is to Google non copyright png images. Then drag it into your workspace on photoshop.

They took away the smudge brush. ITs useless to me. How do you fix edges ? why do they remove the good things and make it so we have to learn how to use it ? Photoshop ver 3 would have been perfect and none of us would have had to figure the dam thing out. As it is all the experience I have is thrown away and I have to go through the aggravation to learn how to use photoshop in name only. It is infuriating that they chose to make it all different so we do not know how to use it. Its as if they set out to aggravate everyone.

How to delete layers, create our own brushes and everything else that is basic?? I don’t give a crap about this turtle stuff.

You talked about things you were apparently doing but showed nothing in the way of how you did it or even mentioned what the features actually are for or what they do . So tired of of trying to find a decent photoshop teaching video . I’m actually very surprised at the lack of good photoshop educational material . I can’t find any , anywhere !

not a good tutorial for a beginner. You go too fast and don't explain things clearly. Good for someone who already knows how to use the program.
