OMG! ❤😍 This chest of drawers looks amazing already and I've only just started watching you paint it. The way you ombre the colours together is awesome. I love the Holy Guacamole colour blended with the all the blues, the effect is lovely. I just want to add that I use patinas a lot because I make jewellery and Christi Freisen - a brilliant jeweller and mixed media artist - brought out a great range of metals, which are suspended in liquid form, and a range of patinas to go with them. I love using these and, if you make a mistake, you can easily fix it by wiping the wet metal off your surface and doing it again. Christi's range includes gold, silver, bronze and iron, and the patinas come in Verdigris turquoise, rust and black oxide. The range by Dixie Belle seems to me to be based on the same process: you apply the metal first and, while it's still wet you apply the patina. Also, they're both made with real metals. OMG!!! What an amazing and beautiful piece. The art work is amazing...if you ever make the Buddha a decoupage paper to sell, keep us in mind. In fact as a business woman myself, I advice and suggest you trademark and sell it as a stencil and decoupage. Your work and you are amazing.

Amazing🎉 I love this!!! Thank you for recommending the white lightning cleaning product AND using multiple shades of my favorites. I love and have wanting to use actual patina instead of recreating the look! Thank you! Irony is I did similar shading ombre on a smaller piece and it was a hit. Still, large pieces were daunting. I've been working up in size AND after finishing and flipping a few dozen large pieces YOU! YOU yes YOU give me the confidence to use ALL I know as a canvas and water color artist on a large piece of furniture. I have been hesitating, teaching myself each step of furniture, wood care, deconstruction and transformation. This is a spectacular art form YOU elevate!!! I really loved your piece, your colors, your inspiration, your artistic support AND that beautiful brush🎊🎉🎊🎉 You broke me down,,,😂 I'll have to fork out the cash one day and buy one or two. I loved the highlighted bronze edges💫 Wow! Thank you so much! Your relaxed instructions and liquidity is very calming and inspiring. W O W, Melissa! This may be my most favorite piece you’ve ever done. I love the colors (the “Holy Guacamole” as your highlight really brought them all together), the different textures and how you used the patina. But your artistic talent (drawing out Buddha freehand painting it specifically) just took this piece of art to a whole different level. Absolutely gorgeous.💜

Oh my goodness I love this! Thankyou for showing. I'm new to the patina and have my delivery today 😀 may i ask if it matters what colour paint you use underneath please? Have you tried white, just wondering if that will work 🤔 i have a unit where i sell my items and it's packed with colour

It will work on any paint color. I’ve used it on multiple colors - the lighter the paint the more it shows. But I love the rust and blue so that’s usually my go to.
