How to Use Minolta XG-9 Film Camera (Beginners Quick Guide)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In late 1979 Minolta revealed the XG-S. Outside Japan, this model was known as XG 9, and with its improvements, it addressed some weak points of the XG-E, which it replaced. Both bodies were available in chrome or black finish.
Body and features Edit:
The viewfinder shows the set aperture at the bottom.
A stop down button is added.
The new and much brighter "Acute Matte" focusing screen replaced the fresnel field screen.
This was a big leap and left only one major drawback of all XG models: The meter still does not work in manual mode.
If you want to know how to use:
- Set Aperture
- Set Shutter Speed
- Set ISO
- Load Film
- Insert and Check Battery
- Use Light Meter
- Use Manual Mode
- Focusing
- Detaching and Mount Lens
- Unload Film

Completely underrated SLR. Very easy to use, small, lightweight, very bright viewfinder, exact lightmeter, reliable aperture priority. I've two of them, both in beautiful black.

Hi Photography and more! If I have my camera in the automatic mode, do I still need to adjust the shutter speed?

Hello Wyeth, In Automatic mode just select in the lens the aperture and the shutter speed vary automatically to yield proper exposure for the aperture and the other settings with the light being metered.
