🙋🏻♂️ How to use Microsoft Teams Webinar
Ғылым және технология
In this step-by-step tutorial, learn how you can make a webinar in Microsoft Teams. Now you can organize and hold interactive meetings and webinars for up to 1,000 attendees with Teams. Use end-to-end webinar support that’s as simple as setting up a Teams meeting-including custom registration pages and attendee emails, rich presentation options, host controls, such as the ability to disable attendee chat and video, and post-event reporting to understand participation and to follow up with attendees. If you need to reach more than 1,000 attendees, Teams meetings can seamlessly scale to accommodate a 10,000-person view-only broadcast experience.
These new capabilities are available in Microsoft 365 E3/E5, Microsoft 365 A3/A5, and Microsoft 365 Government G3/G5 plans. Microsoft 365 Business Standard and Microsoft 365 Business Premium plans will include all the features above for up to 300 attendees.

I’ve been waiting for this functionality for so long! I’ll give it a try tomorrow morning! This will help me manage training a lot easier!
This was terrific and as for the corporate skit, priceless!
I can’t wait to use this feature. I do webinars every week and have already created the ones up to end of July. In August I will likely be using this quite heavily. Thanks for the first look Kevin!!

Maybe you can help me copy a webinar if you want to repeat the same webinar again? Thank you 👍
Really like how you can customize the registration form. Thanks Kevin :)
Thanks, Kevin. One thing you didn't point out was what the 'attendee' sees. Unfortunately, all attendees can see the participants list, fine for corporate Town Halls, but not so great for external webinars. We need to be able to turn off attendees visibility of each other. Fingers crossed that will come soon.

Yes, i do agree on Kristian. It would be better if only the speaker or the organizers can see the list.
Thank you Kevin! Do you anything about how the recording of webinars work? One of my kinks with using Meetings for seminars is that there isn’t really a way to control what makes it into the recording - e.g. you spotlight a speaker in the live meeting, but in the recording, they show up split-screen with a passive participant. And another one: can you change the meeting settings during the meeting, e.g. turn off mics and video of all participants during a presentation part and then open them up for Q&A at the end?
So hilarious. You read the mind of the corporate world, Kevin!

Thanks, Kevin! I love your channel! Thank you for all you do and please keep it up!
Your funniest video yet. Keep it up!
Liked once for the great overview of the functionality. Liked again for the witty way to present it. Love the humour ;)
It's a great feature, Kevin. Thanks! I have been waiting for a long time. We conduct weekly/monthly webinars and it was difficult for us to track. Let me try this. I requested it to Microsoft long time ago, but MS rejected my request.
LOL 😅 that was great Kevin. Thanks for the laughs. And yes, I will be using Teams Webinar in about a week for our Town Hall. It's my first time and definitely want things to operate smoothly for the presenters. I will let you know how it goes.
I will definitely use this! Too funny, dodging the questions!!
@Kevin - I’m an MS Teams “Super User” at work & one tutorial I would like to request from you has to do with the “Chat” Feature … highlighting all of the different functions & settings of the MS Teams “Chat” feature. We are often asked about creating/saving & naming Chat Groups + all of the different Chat options available. I’m an original follower of your Channel & have shared your channel within several of my Networking Groups ~ I’ve driven thousands of users to your Channel & on behalf of ALL of us (going back to March of 2020) … Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!! We LOVE your tutorials & the way in which you present the important info.!!! 🙏🏻😊
Great video as always. Thanks a lot for keeping me updated on the new features!
Thanks Kevin! Just realized this is a new feature. Didn't notice this before. Will definitely use this for our next webinar.
This is just what i needed. very clear as i was struggling with setting one!
Such a fun and useful video Kevin. ❤️ it !
This is awesome. I was just promoted into a training role and they have been using the meetings option to teach classes online. I plan on using the webinar.
Kevin, I love your Instructional videos, great presentation. Thank you!
Thank you Kevin! I am looking forward to using this feature.
Thanks Kevin - always find your tutorials informative. I'm actually disappointed with the Webinar function - we were really looking forward to it in the hope that it would replace the need for a Zoom Webinar subscription - but we really need a moderated Q&A function like Teams Live. Teams Live isn't great for conference panel discussions when you can only share one screen at a time, so have to continue to use Zoom Webinars.

I like these introduction material, very useful for me, and I am looking forward to the new session coming !!
Kevin, thanks. And again a useful video.
Another amazing content ! Thank you @Kevin Stratvert !
Thanks, Kevin! Looks like a great feature that we will be using soon.
As always, an excellent tutorial!
That was fun and funny!
Thank you Kevin for a great video. :)
Great video - very useful and enjoyable to watch! For the MS Teams Webinar, can participants see each other or only the speakers/panelists? What about in an MS Teams Live event? Thank you in advance for any guidance.
Muchas gracias, Kevin. Puerto Rico te ama.
Great Video loved hiring family members. Disabling video audio was hilarious! Great Video! Great Content and extremely funny! Thanks Kevin!

Usefull & Fun!!! Thanks Kevin!
Hey Kevin. Great video as always! Do you know if you can use an external app/device to produce a Webinar? Thanks!
The subtle jokes made me crack up good 😂
This was so fun 🤩 back and forth 🤪😆😆
Thanks a lot, amazing video. Keep up the good work !
Had fun watching this and thank you for this very informative demo! Can the Teams landing pages for webinars, however be reused for an on-demand/gated video content?
Damned hilarious! 😂 A great new feature, presented beautifully.
New Great Feature from Microsoft Teams. Webinars are very important in the hybrid world. 08:40 I liked the way you Presented Disable Mic🎤 and Disable Camera📷 Feature in Microsoft Teams. Nice Video👍👍

Great job! Funny aswell
again, thks, clear eficient, lov it
Thank you for your great demonstration. please allow me to ask something. If the speaker is on sick leave, I have to cancel or postpose the meeting schedule under the condition that some of attend already book my webinar in their calendar. What would be the most elegant way to cancel or postpone webinar?
Kevin - long time trainer here, great job incorporating a sense of humor! Enjoyed how you worked self-effacing laughs in with the Kevin Cookie, Co. Keep up the great work!

Great insight and funny!
Extremely funny webinar demo. Happy Employees indeed 😂😂😂
Hi Kevin. Another great presentation. I do have a question however... do I have to "admit" all those joining the webinar? Often times, I'll get stragglers joining late and it becomes quite a distraction when I have to pull away from my presentation to click on "admit."
Thank you Kevin.
Thanks Kevin!!
Pretty good as usual!
Hey Kevin, thanks for the video. Do you have any idea why with MS 365 business-standard plan I do not have an option such as a webinar in my calendar?
really good 👍 funny way how to introduce this webinar. Thank you Kevin
Great, I will recommend this to my father and use for Org. meetings
Thanks for this, quick question: if you're hosting a webinar but want to hide the names of the attendees for recording purposes. How do you do that?
i love your teaching style. lol 🙂
Awesome Kevin! Thank you and yes I'd love to use Webinars. How do we know who's attended? That is
Hi Kevin, great video! When my attendees complete the registration form they aren't sent a confirmation email with the option to add to their calendar. Any suggestions on what I could be doing wrong or how to add this functionality? Thanks!
super cool!
The meeting is amazing....
hy Kevin, thank you for this video! Can I limit the quantity of participants per webinar?
By registering, your calendar should be automatically updated with the event. That way, the audience will be reminded to join your webinar.
Would be great if the Chat functions from Live Events were available in Webinairs - so a producer can choose which questions go live.
Thank sir Kevin!
Hi Kevin - first of all thank you for all your useful content! Two Questions: 1) Private chats: As the organizer, I want to restrict the chat so that only I can see the incoming chats (questions). Attendees should not see other chats 2) List of attendees: As the organizer, I want to hide the list of attendees from everyone (except from my). Cheers, Erwin

Super Super helpful Kevin.
Thanks for the laugh :D Very entertaining
Very useful video many don't know about it.
Hi Kevin, I have a question that I hope you can help me with - If I click on the webinar link before the webinar starts (hours or days before) and choose "Leave" instead of "End meeting" - will that 'open up' the webinar and make it possible for the people I have invited to also join the webinar before it starts or will they only be able to access the room during the time period set in the invite?
very nice Kevin !!! humorous presentation also hilarious

😂 Thanks Kevin! My goto guru for all things new in Teams! Will analytics come to normal team meets? What time participants joined and left? Handy for teaching as I use teams as my VLE.
Hi Kevin, in the normal schedule meeting in TEAMS, we had issue on the bandwidth whereby the videos were lagging when we played them. Do you know that if we use webinar or live webinar, the quality of video will be better?
Full of helpful morsels (get it?!) Thank you so much!
Thanks for the great videos. I want to know is their a way we can translate language while having ongoing meeting in Teams?
Thank you! It's very interesting and clear. Will be available in every license of 365?
Awesome! Thanks for this tutorial. Can you do the same for live event?

Is there a way in Teams to allow the presenter to see all of the attendees cameras but the attendees can only see the presenter ( not other attendees) ? Thanks for the amazing videos !
Nice summary. Looks like no way to configure a recurrence pattern?
Kevin this is excellent for us
Corporate world is full of surprises, you read it well
Brilliant Kevin - thanks I am about to run my first Teams Webinar for health professionals in Qatar to learn about how to eliminate SARS- COV2 in hospitals. Wish me luck!
Hi Kevin. Thank you for this. I am strugglingto give people outside my organisation access to the webinar. I see in the video that Everyone is grey under who needs to register for you as well. Is there a setting somewhere?
Is the "Disable Mic/cam" the only ekstra feature using Webinar - And it looks like you have to have one of the extended Microsoft 360 licens to use this and if the disable funktion is what you get ekstra that not much for having to upgrade the licens.
Very informative, Thank you brother

Happy to hear that!
We were looking at this meeting type to host Office Hours for a new system implementation that we are working on. We want to give employees a recurring set time where they can join and ask various 'how to' questions. However, we were hoping to be able to limit how many could join a particular session. We have about 100 trained so far, heading toward 1500, if even only 1/2 have a question or two, we wouldn't have time to help everyone at one session. So we would like to limit the registrations to the first 10 or 20 people. Is this possible, or maybe a feature on the radar?
Hey Kevin! I use Microsoft teams on Linux and during a meeting I'm able to see the videos of only 4 participants at a time on the screen. There's no change layout option available either. Is there any way I could see all the participants in a meeting??
Thank you for this video. I keep discovering new functionalities in Teams thanks to you. Suggestion: could you make a Teams video about managing files, i-e managing, organizing files, downloads, and Class Notebooks, maybe it's more of a Sharepoint video, i don't know... (have not yet figured out how to permenently delete old class notebooks, even when the old Team is deleted, kind of slows everything down). Thanks.

This is great. For some reason in the options, when I try to turn on the "Allow Camera for Attendees" and hit save, it says "Something Went Wrong. Try Again." Am I doing something wrong?
Hi Kevin. I really enjoy your videos. Can you speak to whether I can have the attendees join an anonymous or use an alias? Where would you provide the instructions for them to register as anonymous or as an alias if they don’t want their identity shared on the screen?
Kevin, what is the best way to store video files in teams. We end up accumulating different videos from meetings and seminars, some are recoded in teams, others in zoom, others are processed in video editor. I would like to create one place in teams, where everybody in our team is able to save, download or view all our video files. Is it as simple as creating a folder with bunch of MP4 files or is there a better way to do it in Microsoft Teams?
I like the webinar approach, but the RTMP support is missing. Live-events have it, but with a horrible delay. What would you suggest for a live stream, to, let's say teach mechanics on a new part?
Hello Kevin, I think that webinars can help with 2 things we need in our organization. Please tell me if this is now possible or if we have to wait for future versions of teams: 1) In public meetings there is no possibility of mute all except certain people. Here in webinars is it possible ? (this is very useful for big meetings where you have to find the one that is making noise to mute him/her , while we need the possibility of someone to begin to talk) 2) if we record the meeting session, and if during the meeting we make changes between certain spotlights of 1 or 2 or 3 persons, the final visual of the viewers did no record. In the recording we see online all the squares of all the attending people like spotlight was not used. Is it possible to record webinars like we can record meetings ? Are this recordings the same like viewers see ? Thanks in advance ! Pablo
So good.
Great 👍
