How to use Mendeley to automatically manage and sync Latex/BibTeX references

Mendeley can make referencing in LaTeX very easy and automated. In this video, we learn to create a BibTeX file from our library of references in Mendeley and sync the BibTeX file so that any changes in Mendeley are reflected in the file automatically.

    That is very strange. I checked for updates and I'm using the latest version and can see the "options". I'm not sure what is wrong.

    I use MS-Windows 10 James, do you prefer Mendeley over JabRef? Why or why not, please?

    I use the two differently. I mostly use Mendeley to manage pdf sources and also for citation management in Word. I use Jabref for managing my bibtex files for referencing in LaTeX.

    In overleaf also the process is the same, just create .bib file in your current folder.

    You create a bibtex file and upload it to your overleaf folder.

    @@JamesAzam first of all thanks for great video. But it is not working with overleaf. i followed the shown procedure e.g. created a bibtex file from mendeley and uploaded it to overleaf folder. but when i add a new paper in mendeley it update the bibtex file too that is saved locally in computer. but this bibtex file is not sync with overleaf BibTeX file. overleaf read the earlier uploaded file. how i can solve this? thanks

    Do you not find it under "Tools"? What operating system and Mendeley version are you using?

    @@JamesAzam no. Windows 11, mendeley 2.68... Previous one is windows 10 with updated mendeley, still there is no "option"

    @@fenska7313 I think your version is higher than mine even though I'm using the latest version in Windows 10. I'm sure it's probably been renamed to something else. Is there something like "preferences" or similar?
