Paulson is fantastic..love the way he puts the pieces together and has the best aspects of all the arts he has studied tie into one. He also doesn't over complicate things which is exactly what the brain needs when $hit hits the fan. A lot of " traditional" stylists could learn a lot from his approach.
Practical jkdc at it's finest. This is the best thing I've seen all day.

Nice job Sir!
I was fortunate to train with Paulson. He is the absolute best grappler I ever rolled with.
Erik Paulson is a "dangerous man" soo good at everything.
Great! Teaching them wing chun and jkd and most don’t even know it 😂👏 Good thing too or they’d refuse to learn and say it won’t work in a “real fight” 🤦♂️ Paulson is the man 🙏
Top notch JKD please share some more!!

Hm, that's like someone trained JKD and Kali and then explored everything , even into hard MMA fights in the beginning aera. And then came back and made JKD work. Wait, it's Erik Paulson. So it really is that way. Plus he isn't talking us to death. Thanks for really useful experience sharing, down to the point.
Incredible information, thanks Mr. Paulson.

Learning from one of the best! Thank you Sensei!!
Such a wealth of knowledge , wow .
Kind of art to me. So fluent, talking totally relaxed in parallel. Great to watch and observe.

If you look at fighting as an art then you've already lost. You must be a weenie in life and think everything you see on television is real and how it goes.😂
Great work eric. Awesome videos.
Erik is a great teacher because he explains everything simple and clear. Love this post. Subscribed!
So practical and brutal. Lov these
Erik, you are a plethora of combat knowledge, I'll never learn or even remember what u are showing
Incredible knowledge and skill. Always a fan.
Mr. Paulson is Always 🔝💯💪
Always awesome content!
Beautiful stuff
This is awesome, I saw lots of Filipino Martial Arts (Eskrima) techniques there.
He know grappling, striking, everything, amazing 👍
e.p is a master of al masters
Excellent!!
This is awesome
I`ve been a fan of Sensei Paulson since 2001... I wish I would train with him at least once , too bad I dont live in the US
this man is great
My God I wish I could be one of Coach Paulson's students.
Now that's a master...
Ok !
Very practical but need a lot of practice to be able to get to his level
They look like Tai Chi pushes to me .... they are effective for sure

Last time I saw Sifu Hartsell was in 2006. He was talking to a couple of people at the Inosanto Academy and I didn’t want to interrupt. But I looked around shortly after and he had left. Never got another opportunity. RIP Larry!
More of "Frankenstein stuff," please?

Hey, Julio. Maybe you should make a video. Since you know so much about speed and motion. Please! Share with the group. And explained why these JKD fallacies don't work. Since some of you MMA guys are so entitled
The wrist lock moves- Hapkido?
1:45 is Bajiquan!!!
Fwiw, the "rhino spear" is what the keysi guys train
Many thanks, definitely persuasive. Can´t we start with evading him. Paul, 69
cool as fuck ty sir
Hes like Batman!
If Paulson is so great, why isnt he wearing a blutooth and gloves??
I know that wave push isn't knocking that guy over like that
People were rings to punch the head,be careful blocking with your head.
At 7:33...wrist locks? If this guy ever gets into a real fight he's going to find out his "fancy moves" won't work so well. 😉
Using some dumog. I enjoy the street part of martial arts. Sports is cool but real life is real life.
Nice to see the keyboard warriors disappeared on this video
So ein Quatsch
Please do not try this in the streets. UKE sparring is just that Practice. In the streets is You VS Them. I’m not saying he is wrong on some of these moves but, wouldn’t you want to see these at full speed and motion? Glove up and go. No UKE!

There is something called functionalization. First you learn the technique of course with a partner compliant to learn how to flow around the body. Then you practice , you master the technique then you functionalize( sparring from 10percent to full contact you slowly work your way up to full speed). Then you maintain. There is a formula for martial arts to be effective.
As a long time Krav Maga practitioner, I must say : "Good luck with that !" if you think your opponent in real life is that slow and predictable ….. ,then you have no idea of the real life situations. This looks like a "Feel Good demo" .

As a long time KZread video watcher, I can say with utmost certainty that this is a demonstration of how to apply techniques. It is done slowly so that you as a viewer can follow along. The hard part is that you actually have to spar and practice until you become proficient. To the point that it becomes a natural reaction. Unfortunately, it is way easier to be an armchair critic and criticize over the internet.

It's honestly laughable when Krav is one of the most made fun of martial arts and is notorious for the exact same issues you just listed.

@@com.7869I’m willing to bet Professor Paulson would be willing to demonstrate effectiveness in person. He’s the modern day Gene LeBell...except he has compassion. LOL
