    I like to brag that I have practically every KitchenAid stand mixer attachment they make UNTIL NOW! Wow what a neat attachment. I will definitely keep my eye out for one of these. One of the best things about stand mixer attachments from KitchenAid is that they fit all Kenmore and Kenmore Elite stand mixers from present and all the way back to the 1990s.

    I bought a kitchenaid from someone about 5 years ago and used it twice. It has been in storage for about 3 years. I am about to move cross country and was clearing out my storage unit and came across my kitchenaid. I planned on selling it for $100 with attachments just to get rid of items and make a little extra money. Your video somehow inspired me to not sell it. I love carrot juice and if this is an easier way to make carrot juice than my vitamix, sign me up.

    The cost around $300 in Australia. It’s a bit expensive however I think this is offset by it appearing to be easy to clean and taking up less space than a stand alone juicer. We already have a Kitchen Aid stand mixer so most probably we will pick up one of these juicers.

    Is this much different than the fruit and vegetable strainer? I have that one for applesauce and tomato sauce but it does come out more like juice for me until I cook it down.

  • @epicuricloud

    @epicuricloud

    Жыл бұрын

    Hello - Yes it's a "slow" style juicer - so can extract juice from lots of raw fruits, veg and leafy greens without heating up much like some of the centrifugal juicers. The vegetable strainer is more for grinding/straining.

    Which attachment, in your opinion, gets more juice out of veggies and fruits; the juicer/sauce or the masticating?

  • @epicuricloud

    @epicuricloud

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hello G.M. - I'm not sure what the "masticating" attachment is? Perhaps it's not an official KitchenAid attachment? The official Juicer & Sauce Attachment is a masticating/slow juicer. (This juicer attachment is a slow (masticating or cold press) juicer which first slices then processes soft, hard or leafy fruits and vegetables for maximum nutrient-rich extraction.)

    What about juicing citrus? Is it recommended to peel the orange/Lemmon before juicing?

  • @epicuricloud

    @epicuricloud

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi Dustin - It's up to you - more of a taste thing. I put citrus in with the peel - love ruby red grapefruit and beet. If that flavor is too strong for you, you can take the peel off.

    Hi Tina can you please help me since you're a kitchen aid expert. I was very excited about getting my kitchenaid artisan listen and I quickly proceeded to purchase the meat grinder but then when I was going to order the fruit and vegetable strainer It seems they expect you to use the same piece that you use to grind meat to use it for your fruit and vegetable strainer and I find that pretty gross but at the same time frustrating because because they expect you to use it with the vegetable strainer and that is so so cross contaminated and nasty and nasty. Why don't they sell the fruit and vegetables strainer with its own grinder

  • @epicuricloud

    @epicuricloud

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi Nena - This is a "slow" or "masticating" style juicer - I believe the rpms are generally lower for these styles. The juice from these styles of juicers are supposed to be high quality - due to no heating from the high rpms.

  • @epicuricloud

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi Rayton - "She" is me - I'm Tina - thanks for stopping by! Don't worry it didn't break - occasionally after an extended juicing session (such as making a video) and opening and closing the lid a lot - I get some juices on the lid seal - makes it slippery and the lid slips out of lock position ( a safety feature). Will stop working when the lid is not locked. Most people will not encounter this with regular juicing. Take care!

    I bought this attachment a year ago and it worked fine, this year it did not work. More than a year has passed so the warranty is expired. I took it apart and a gear that turns a rubber belt was not working. After spending 45 minutes trying to get through to KitchenAid, I was told that they do not sell the part and there was nothing they could do. I would not recommend anyone this item to anyone.

The Mini As well as the classic both have a 275 W motor Which I think are the smallest Stand mixer motors offered. She's using a 325 W Kitchen aid artisan So it definitelyWasn't struggling.
