    Satellite equipment is designed to be as reliable as possible. They are not as complicated as smart phones and have some distinct advantages. Battery life depending on the model of satellite phone will last much longer than current day smartphones. The Inmarsat ISatPhone 2 has 8 hours of talk time and about 6 days of standby time on a single charge. When powering on the phone, you don't have to worry about apps crashing or the phone locking up due to its prime functions being dedicated to making phone calls and text messages.

    Thats why you need 2 or more satellite communicators. But there are a lot more uses to a satellite phone. 1. Phone coverage while going deep in nature: Fishing, Off Roading, Camping, Hunting, Hiking, Mountain climbing, etc. 2. Phone coverage when offshore. Cell service extends only 15 miles offshore. Satellite service is anywhere on the water globally! So if you are on your boat, yacht, cruise, carrier you can still call home. 3. Phone coverage for business operations. People use satellite phones to go far from the city to places with no cell coverage and continue running their business matters using a satellite phone. 4. Satellite phones have GPS locators that can broadcast your location in emergency with SOS feature to call for help. I would certainly want my family to have these in emergency. 5. They add more privacy in your conversations and safety against 3rd party application spoofing your conversations or messages.

  • @Supreme2u
    @Supreme2u2 ай бұрын

    Nice vid upper but these are pretty much a waste of time. Yes they would serve well if you are lost in the woods/mountains and had no access to a cell tower to hit. During a war against the homeland an EMP will kill electronics and the ability to use the grid for charging. Also, our enemies have target orders to kill our sats (and we would most likely target their's) making Satphones usesless.......smoke signals are a better and cheaper alternative.
