How to use GymBook: The Best Workout App for the Gym

GymBook is an iOS app designed to "Create and manage your workouts, log your progress and analyse your performance".
If you are someone who is currently, or looking to start, strength training then this is the app you want. You can create your workout routines with the exact exercises, sets, reps you want, and then the app simplifies tracking and analysing your performance.
The turn of the New Year stereotypically brings with it renewed optimism and focus on our own health and fitness.
This year, it occurred to me that I haven’t had the usual stress of trying to find a good ‘gym’ app to track my weightlifting. Because since 2020, I’ve been consistently using GymBook, my favourite iOS app for logging workouts at the gym and I haven’t looked back.
Given it is the New Year, I decided to write a review of GymBook, to help those with their new found focus on fitness track their workouts with ease!

Yep super solid app, and I love that it isn't a greedy paid-subscription app like all the others! Happy working out mate!

Download and bought the premium. Very smooth app!
Does this integrate with apple health?? I saw some records in the workout tab but none in the active calories. Had turn on all permissions as well.

Hey @ralph4083, it does sync up with Apple Health/Fitness apps for me, yes.
is it coming to Samsung
downloads any manual user please?

It would be nice if a video entitled "how to use" something would actually show us how to use it in practice, at the gym, in real time. After watching this I have absolutely no idea what to enter before, as or after I perform the exercise. Thanks anyway.

Hi I just start using Gymbook, how can I change the time for the alarm to start the exercice
Can I add body weight calisthenics exercise to it ?

I’m not sure if Calisthenics is part of the exerciselibrary as I haven’t checked out all the exercises and I have to wait a week or so before I’ll get the pro version, but there is 399 exercises in the app and most importantly; If the exercise you want to add is not already there, there is a function to «create exercise». Then you call it whatever you want, choose the primary and secondary muscles this exercise works and you add a picture. So it’s super easy to basically add whatever you want.

Yes! You do this by using the grouping and when you download the app there is already premade programs, one of these are specifically to show how to add supersets👍
Some background music would really spice up this vid just a tip, keep up the good work.
