How to use Google Scholar to find articles | Simple vs Advanced searches, Alerts, and more!

To find articles for your literature review, systematic review, or thesis, Google Scholar is a go-to bibliographic database. In this tutorial, I introduce the Google Scholar interface thoroughly, providing an in-depth tour of each feature. I also introduce the process of conducting a search with simple and advanced searches and introduce the two methods for advanced searching in Scholar. I introduce Booleans and other building blocks for effectively searching in Scholar.

    Hi Samuel, thanks for watching. I don’t think so. It just makes it visually easier to see where they’re being applied. It’s a personal preference but you can use small caps. I also forgot to mention in the video that Google Scholar recognizes a space as an AND operator. Again, I prefer to type the AND out to make it easier to read.
