I have the AnyCast Dongle and I can't get no further with this piece of Shit cause I am not putting my Credit Card Info out there just to get this piece of shit to use with my Goggles to fly FPV !!!!!!

Mine stopped working too. Tried resetting it unpowered and repowered devices. It's streamed great four years until the other day when I lost Internet service. After that repair and regaining internet no Chromecast device found. Had my Chromecast plugged into port number to of my stereo receiver. From the receiver goes into my Samsung TV there a dmi cable. It worked great for years but now I can't get it to. I tried rebooting everything including Chromecast device. Still no Chromecast device found? Do you know what I can do next? Still on Chromecast device found on my phone. For example on a KZread video I have the Chromecast symbol button but when pressed no device found.

i just can't fine all the passwords and user names to get started so many passwords but you did a good job on the video .thanks

Works great on my family room TV just got one for my son so he can watch anything he wants to on his TV!! All I need is his phone to download the home app to it so my phone so we dont have to use my phone for family room on his chrome cast so wish me luck...

Nice Simplified Set-up Instructions! Wondered if anyone here knows how to make our *Chromecasts* _"lock-down"_ as *Secure* on the *SSID* *List,* that everyone can see? My Chromecast always shows up as unsecure in the SSID window. Thus, I simply unplug my little "puck" when I'm done and place it back in the box until the next casting time.

In nutshell, this means both casting device and Chromecast itself has to be in same network. However there are many possible setups. For instance my Chromecast 3 gets internet via Ethernet and I cast mostly via 5 GHz Wifi and 2.4 GHz Wifi but as both wifi interfaces and ethernet switch are bridged on router and access point, it runs perfectly :)

How to upgrade from old chemecast to new chrome cast with Google TV.

These setup videos are incomplete. You can also use your phone hotspot to setup. After setup you have 2 methods to cast to tv. 1. "Mirror" via the home app. This method means you cannot use your hp for other things but it's free and does not consume any hotspot data. 2. "Cast " using the cast button on the videos itself. It will consume hotspot data but you can use your hp while casting. Note: my telco plan comes with unlimited data with 5gb limited hotspot

This video is first search for how to. Spectrum had us get New Routers&Modems. Since then my Chromcast won't work. Not sure how to make it ask for the New PW. Friend also same issue but with her google chat circle thing. Will have to keep trying, maybe 'delete' the app and reinstall it.
