Hi! You will want to remove all the areas of material you won’t be using on the project with a weeding tool. I use Cricut brand weeding tool and I also use the tweezers as well. On regular vinyl it is pretty easy to see the parts to weed out but glitter iron on is tricky so I bend it down to see the cut lines easier. Hope that helps!

Hi thank you! Yes the iPad version is a bit different than pc. IPad does mostly the same things, but there isn't a curve text feature on iPad. I'll try to include more iPad and phone versions in my videos.

Hi thank you! This type of iron on comes with transfer already on it, ( the clear glossy front). You just weed your material off the back of the clear transfer material, flip it over, and iron on.👍🏻

I just got a cricut what's the difference between weld and attach . Thinks for the great video

Hi! Weld goes a bit farther than attach especially when working with text. Weld gets rid of any crossing lines, such as where two letters connect. Attach would place them where you want them on the mat but cricut would still cut the cross lines. I hope that makes sense! Think of attach as taping things where you want them to cut, and weld as joining two images to make one.👍🏻

used the gold smart vinyl glitter iron on on the cricut maker 3 and some of it didnt cut true on the cut settings an advice? a lot of the material i am ussing isnt fully cutting through even when i increase the pressure or it it damaging the cuts. any advice? please and thank you

Hi! I would recommend creating a new material. Check the pressure setting of glitter iron on and add 25-30 more to start. If that still doesn't cut thru add 50 more and try that. I have found with glitter materials cricuts pressure settings are just not enough.

How long do you think the vinyl will last with regards to washing materials that have this material?

Hi! Iron on generally last for years as long as it is not dried on really high heat. The more heat you apply to the garment the more it will break down the vinyl. I have a shirt I did 5 years ago and the vinyl looks the same but I always dry on low heat. I did my dad a couple shirts last year that have already peeled off due to high dryer heat. That really makes all the difference. 👍🏻

Can you use an regular iron, if don't have cricut press?

Yes you may want to do a small test first tho . An iron has holes that can leave spots not as well adhered so try moving the iron around instead of just pressing it down in one spot . . I would try it on the highest cotton setting ( with no water in your iron)👍🏻

Please help me. Some of glitter is falling off as I was weeding onto the clear plastic. How do I take that off? If I don’t will that stick on the shirt as well? How would I prevent that form happening? Thank you

Hi! Some of the glitter will pull off as you are weeding that’s normal, it will not stick to the shirt when you press. I usually just shake the shirt to get those little extras to fall off after pressing, or you can go over the finished shirt with a lint roller.😊

Crystal Johnson It definitely is hard to see I kinda bend and fold it where I think there is a cut line and it is easier to see. Then I just pull it up with my fingers.

Hi. It is probably the cut pressure on your machine. Glitter vinyl can be tricky. Try a brand new blade on the glitter iron on setting. If you don’t have a new blade you can up the pressure by going to materials and changing the pressure setting for a material. You can see what the glitter iron on pressure is and up it by 15 increments until it cuts thru. Just remember what the original setting is so you can change it back. Hope that makes sense!

Hi! I'm not sure why just make sure you are using heat transfer vinyl and your pressing iron is getting up to temp. Also, try pre-pressing your shirt before you place the iron-on. Depending on which brand you use, Cricut is cold peel so wait until the shirt is cool to peel the material. Siser is warm or cool peel so you don't have to wait with that brand. Hope that helps!

Hi. There will be a “templates” menu on the left side of the canvas. Click on that and I usually type in “tshirt” in the search bar to find all the shirt templates.

@@AppalachianHomeCo if you are on an iPad, the “template” option is not available. It is only available for desktop use, as I do all my Cricut work on my iPad and had to look up why I could not find the shirt template. I hope they update that someday.
