High Cut vs. Damping: High Cut would be removing the frequencies of the signal pre-reverb. Damping is a more gradual and progressive reduction of the high frequencies during the reverberation. High Cut is at once, Damping is over time. High Cut is binary, on or off; Damping is gradual. A good way to visualize this is that High Cut is like a room that has foam treatment: it's really dark with no high frequency reverberation at all. Damping is what occurs naturally in any non-treated environment, as high frequencies tend to lose energy (loudness) with each reverberation much quicker than lower frequencies, so you get an initially bright reverb that gradually darkens. If you want a more "natural" sounding room, go with Damping over High Cut.

This guy is the best at creating KZread tutorials. Simple easy to follow explanations, cleanly shot, I appreciate you can see him because it makes the instructions more personal, and he is not wasting my time with idiotic effects or promoting garbage. Thank you.

This man has been making "user guides" for FL Studio since forever. I respect this man!
Once again thank you for all the great information you're helping us with, Mike. I'm genuinely admiring how well are you doing for yourself and even for others in this area, despite the obvious young age. Wish you all the best and thanks for all the interesting shares!
I appreciate the care you take making these videos, it shows! You explain things thoroughly but succinctly, and at a level that many people can understand. Very awesome, thank you :)
I am a rugged, backpacking, gritty, underground hip hop artist. I do not like Pop or EDM. But after HOURS of your tutorials, I often find myself jamming to your music 🎶. Thanks for broadening my horizons. Understanding and dissecting other genres is important to being a good engineer, I think. You need to see what makes them tick, especially if you're working for a client outside of your comfort zone, as opposed to working on your own music.
I'm your regular viewer when I just started music production and I still love to watch your videos bcoz you explain very deeply what every knob does... It helps to understand other vst tooo.....
I'm a big fan of in the mix! Thank you so much for your effort you're good at it and you know how to explain things well too!
Bro I just wanna say ur prolly the best guy for tutorials u go so into detail and explain every little thing. And I give helpful tips!!! Thanks bro u really helping me become a better engineer !
Always fully enjoy your videos much appreciated
Thank you for being very descriptive and detailed with your lesson. You da best!
This video provides a good explanation of Fruity reverb and learnt all the details of the functions of each dials.. Keep making such tutorials
Reverb has always been my favorite toy. But in time I've learnt that it's so easy to either overdo it or just make it sound sucky and muddy the mix. Good delicious reverb seems to be an artform of it self.
Would be cool to see a video on how to use maximus.

Very nice, VERY useful. 😁
Thank you for another great tutorial! Is your music on Napster by any chance? A tutorial on how to install (and recommended places of where to find) plugins on a Macbook would be super helpful!
Thanks!
Thx from Korea. This really helps!
Good explanations👌🏽😁
Thanks bro!
really helpfull thanks buddy
Easy.Helpful. 👌
very underrated guy. keep making this video for us id donate if u were livestreaming
This is the best! I'm learning so much as an FL Studio hobbyist. One thing I would love to know is how to make the cavernous reverb which the likes of Jon Hopkins and Ulrich Schnauss use. I've never found a tutorial on this and just chaining delay and reverb plug-ins doesn't work, for me anYway!
thank u so much sir
easy to understand, yet somehow hard to master x.x your videos are the best btw
Wow Drew Gooden is helping me learn this program big time!!!!
Thank You So Much

Buddy I can't thank you enough for making our lives easier while it comes to use FL Studio. Recently I have started doing FL and now I am facing an issue where I can't get Fruity Reverb 2 to work on my Guitar recording. Can you please guide me through what is the issue and how can I get it to work? Much appreciated 🙏
parabéns, muito bom!!!!!
Amazing
your the fucking man yo , you literally have some of the best teaching videos ive seen.
really helps new sub
Thank you
thanks mate
Thanks for making these videos. Can u please expalin stereo enhancer . How to use it and where to use it and why to use it
Thanks brother love from india
Just want to point out that the low and high cuts apply to the dry signal before the reverb is applied. If you want to cut frequencies from the reverb, apply a separate EQ after the reverb.
Thank you.

I use the demo version of FL Studio because I have to wait till my birthday for the full version so I can't save any projects for now, but sometimes I accidentally close the window and lose all my progress. Sometimes I just feel like giving up after that happens but your videos help me keep going and continue making music. Thank you 😊
