I did want to mention, some animations activated through Nemesis will break your character. Such as the Smooth Series and Neutral animations. However they can still be used if installed normally like how you would with FNIS.

Will Nemesis break creature related mods like the ones certain creature mods like changing the skeleton and animation of an already existing creature when using fnis and nemesis?

So, I followed everything to pasting the animation folder into Nemesis' data folder, however I couldn't find the animation mod listed so I'm not sure what to check. Any advice would be great, as I've never used FNIS or any of these animation tools, and I'm using Vortex as well. Edit: I just now added my animation folder to Nemesis' PCEA folder, and I put a 1 in front of it but it's still loading the 0Dser_Animations folder. I switched the numbers for the folders and that didn't work, unfortunately.

I'm newer to modding and I've only ever used vortex but seems like most experienced modders are using MO2 and ive heard people say that MO2 is better than vortex but honestly I'm kinda intimidated by it lol and I've gotten kinda comfortable with vortex but is it really worth the effort to switch and learn to use MO2??? I have had trouble finding how to videos using vortex when many show up using MO2 and that's the real reason I'm thinking about it but I'd love to hear some input from the people here that have more experience with them

Personally. I see the ups and downs of both. Vortex is more for beginners, while MO2 is for Veterans and for those who want more control. I personally use MO2.

My game was working fine; I switched from FNIS to Nemesis, and now I can't load past the first screen. What do i do? Also, do I NEED to create folder(s) for other animations? (FYI, i removed all disabled all animation mods at some point, but now still stuck on first loading screen)

You ran the engine and selected the proper mods in the pop up? Folders are not necessary but keeps it clean. Did you add anything else other than animations? Did you add new animations that may conflict? There are many variables that can cause a crash.

@@SoulBC Hey Soul, thanks for replying; Only the default mod options popped up, but I had fnis sexy move, DAR, basically half of your animation mods in your animation video, but those did not show up on Nemesis

@@jeremiaherome0 so you only need to select the ones that show up that match with your modlist. The Nemesis engine recognizes the others and does not require a selection. Double check that prerequisites are up to date as well. Always run the engine when a new animation is loaded.

@@SoulBC thanks Soul, I will double check again! Turns out my RSChildren was the problem, but this was after adding Nemesis, it worked just fine before adding that (i was using FNIS); not sure what happened there. I removed the RSC mods completely and going to reinstall them

When I used nemesis I tried the gun mods as well as the animation changing mods for them. But whenever I try to run them even with Nemesis, I still only get the default crossbow animation. My game is on the SE version but only after I used the downgrade program. Any idea how to get my animation mods activated?

Never had to mess with the downgrade stuff before, but animations should work almost out of the box. Check prerequisites

@@SoulBC Actually I figured it out. Turns out the conditions text and the number of the folder (priority folder) had to be given a higher number

What was the point on making an "Nemesis Output" I didnt see you do anything with it, other than creating an empty file? Or am I missing something LOL?

It does do something IDK what but do that for FNIS and Nemesis

I tried to use FNIS and Nemesis together.. and you cant. I opened up LOOT to see the warning " You have FNIS and Nemesis installed. You cant use both Choose one or the other."

Physics does not require Nemesis nor FNIS. It depends on the skeleton you use and the mods you use that enable those physics

@@l0rd879 you hit the correct physics extension with the skeleton correct? Did you also install some CBPC clothing mods that add those physics? Did you run them through bodyslide?

I used fnis for pretty female idle animation mode but it made my character stuck in T pose ( only my character the npc s were fine and the animation applied to them)

Are you using this for VR or SE?

No matter what I do with Nemesis it wont work so I'm just sticking with FNIS. It maybe older and can't do as much as Nemesis claims to do, but at least it works and I never have an issue with it installing.
