How to use Dynamic Parameters in Tableau 2020.1
You can now have parameters dynamically updated based on a column update in your data source. No more manually updating parameters after a data source update.

Hi Question: I am trying to build a custom SQl query based on parameters for DB Name and Table Name. Basically I have a dashboard where I am trying to fetch Table Metadata by selecting DB/Schema name and Table Name. So Basically I want to build SELECT * FROM . Is it possible? .Any help or lead will be much appreciated

if you google ' tableau parameters sql' the top hit should be this. help.tableau.com/current/pro/desktop/en-us/customsql.htm#use-parameters-in-a-custom-sql-query scroll down to the parameter section. Always recommend searching google. tableau have fantastic guides.

@@TableauTim thank you so much Sir. Well I made sure to go through every article on Google before I thought of getting expert opinion. I had written many custom Sql where I used parameter but mostly in Where Clause and mainly in Case statement, but replacing Schema name and Table name right after From doesn't accept variables
