I love polygel, because I like doing my own nails and because I have some eccentric tastes, and I have discovered that if you use a mirror under the UV/LED lamp, it cures both sides (top and bottom) at the same time, without under/over curing. Just a thought.

Push down your cuticles.

Do you have any tips on keeping the polygel from pooling on the underside of my nail near the fingertips? I always find that once i’m done curing the product is always super thick on the underside and looks unnatural.

hi love! I think dual forms are better for beginners because you get a smooth nail surface automatically as soon as you pop off the form, and you dont have to worry about the top of your nail being lumpy and bumpy. once you get used to working with polygel, I would say tips give you a cleaner cuticle area. with dual forms, its hard to get a perfect cuticle area. I hope this helped :)

I just really want to know what kit or lamp do you use and do you know how long polygel nails last

Wow you made this look so doable! When I do mine, I keep having an issue with the dual form not sticking to my nail. Like it won’t stay down on my nail long enough for me to even cure it. So I have to press down hard which results in spillover around the cuticle and a lot of rework. Any tips?

hey love! you might not have enough polygel in your dual form. there should be enough that it should sit and stay nicely on your natural nail without serious force (which is where your spillage is coming from). if you find yourself having to press hard to squeeze out air bubbles, you probably aren't using enough product.

After the base is applied and you cure are you wiping the nail before applying the dual form? If so how do you keep it from moving around on the nail when cleaning around it?

I do not wipe the nail after base coat. If your dual form is moving around, you probably don't have the right amount of gel in the form.

How do you make sure the color isn't see through? Also how do you put them on and they now lift immediately? I put the clip on but I don't like it bc it makes the product ooze

I'm in the UK and all our salons are still closed and look as though they will be until the middle of April at the earliest, and my nails look discussing. I've been getting them done at the same salon for around 15 years (every 3/4 weeks) and will go back there when they're up and running again. We have to support our small businesses to get back to normal once we come through these awful times.

Watching because I’ve been struggling with my sets lately using dual forms :/ sometimes I get it right & sometimes I don’t & it’s frustrating..

Is it a way to do a different shape besides square when using the dual form??

you can do any shape you want, just create your shape in the form

My only question is do they last? 😭 whenever I use polygel without tips they break/lift in less than a week 💔

hi love, thanks for watching! with polygel, it's super important to nail prep. this includes removing the shine from your natural nail, removing dead skin from your cuticle area, and using a dehydrator & primer before going in with your base coat and polygel. I don't nail prep in my videos because I usually don't keep a set on more than a few days. the nail prep should help with lifting. if you are having issues with the nail breaking off, you might be putting too thin of a layer into your dual form, therefore when you press the dual form down on your natural nail, the layer of polygel along the free edge of your natural nail would be too thin and very flimsy. try using a bit more product, and not pressing the dual form down as hard. I hope this helped! :)

every time i use dual forms my nails are too thin and don’t have enough support but then i try to put more and it comes out of the underneath of the nail. i have no idea what i’m doing wrong LOL

Using nail tips will give them more support

yes, nail lamp is 100% necessary. i use rubbing alcohol for my slip solution, and the polygel can be found on amazon “modelones light apricot”

nope! nail prep is SUPER important when using dual forms so they don't pop off !

you can try, however if the product is just sitting on your nail, it can start to lose shape and flood your cuticle, and the dual form will move around.

I would recommend using completely opaque/non-clear gels if you struggle with this. When using clear or see-through polygels, its much harder to see the evenness of the surface. I hope this helped!
