Oh my! Just told FFT I PAINTED A FLAG ON WOOD, not sure what I’m gonna do with it yet! Then Bam there it is. I’ve not tried Dixie Bell products yet. However I want it all! I am especially curious about the transfers! I use to have a mural painting business over 10 years ago. I’m dying to get back into painting!

Okay, so I used the product as described, and it does clean well. Unfortunately, as I was drying my wood shelves noticed that the solution raised the woodgrain in several places! I was careful to not let the water sit by working on small sections at a time, but I still have areas I’ll have to lightly sand and hope for the best. I’m glad this wasn’t a fine piece of furniture or it would have been ruined. Your video doesn’t really address how to apply a water-based product without harming the wood.

How long can you store the liquid solution?

Ok tell us. I was hoping you would tell us exactly how this product works. What does it do beside remove grime, How to you prep it first o.. if it was in garage?? spiders and such?

Hey Kyra! When it comes to preparing your furniture for painting, White Lightning is the ultimate go-to solution. This powerful cleaner is specially formulated to effortlessly de-grease and eliminate all debris from your furniture, kitchen cabinets, or any surface you intend to paint. This is the first step to cleaning, mix 2 tablespoons of white lightning with one gallon of water. Dip a lint-free cloth in the mixture and squeeze out the excess. Wipe down your entire piece. Then with a new cloth and clean water, wipe down again to remove residue. As for the spiders, we just recommending you taking a vacuum or a broom and knock those suckers off, then you can clean. ❤ I hope this was a little better!

I just used it for my first project. It’s great for cleaning any residue like cigarette smoke etc. Cabinet doors had stickers which left a sticky residue. For that I used Goo Gone first, rinsed with a wet paper towel with a few drops of dish soap (Dawn) Then For the White Lighting I used a wet rag and another wet (clean water only) rag. Dried then sanded the imperfections. Some will need the Dixie Belle Mud. I hope this helps.
